As some of you may have noticed, my brother and I have been exchanging a bunch of cryptic puzzles in my other thread. In fact, it's starting to get a bit unwieldy, so I've decided to start a new one on the same topic. Not (as the title might suggest) to increase the difficulty, but rather (as the title might suggest) to introduce a new format. I am also hoping to attract some new contributors.
In this thread, you have to solve the current puzzle in order to earn the privilege of posting a new one. If the current one sits unsolved, hints should preferably be provided after a while in order to keep the thread going. I'm hoping this "relay" format might entice others to contribute puzzles as well. Puzzles don't have to be in the form of cryptic crossword clues; riddles and other puzzles are fine, too. If you know the answer to the current puzzle, you may post the answer (in a spoiler tag) along with a new puzzle.
