I am back today, but too tired and too much to do for a bunch of League of Legends games tonight. We'll run some tomorrow night (Wednesday) with the YouTube people to make up for it.
I have been having lots of trouble logging in. Wait was like 20+ minutes, first time I have ever seen anything like that. Anyone else seeing this?
Kalin
Server had some problems last night, so I guess people were logging on having been kicked off. We got one game in before the US server died at around 8pm GMT.

Anyone else seeing this?Twenty minutes is nothing :P Been playing on EU with my finnish friends lately, since I can't make the RB games anymore. The queue at prime time is over two hours!! Gotta remember to start up LoL early in the day or you can kiss goodbye to any evening games.
And hence it probably stays full as people will just keep it open even when not playing. Hence you get a viscous circle
Still not sure how splitting the X servers they have for Europe into 2 regions so each gets X/2 will clear the loads though, surely the people per server remains constant?
From what the Rioters say, they're essentially installing a new server somewhere in Eastern Europe/the Nordic region, thereby doubling the capacity across Europe as a whole. This is to address the long login queues that Jowy mentions.
Yay Monkey King skills sound awesome. He's the first approaching champ I've ever been excited about. Well, I do main Nocturne now.. But he didn't sound so interesting back when he debuted and I was still a lowbie.
Does anybody have any insights on learning creep micro, something to streamline the process beyond "keep practicing until you recognize the patterns"?
Chaox was an interesting stream recently - he's been smurfing in Europe, and was at about 1200 ELO. The difference in creep score is startling - I remember him at 150 before the next player hit 100....

However a melee dps without any cc except for his ult sounds a bit worrying to me. Have you ever seen Reginald's commentaries? Not sure if it is exactly what you are looking for but he talks a lot about controlling the lane and techniques for maximising your cs. I seem to remember the video in his vlad guide going over that sort of thing http://solomid.net/guides.php?g=1479 |
