Lord Parkin Wrote:Just out of curiousity - out of the players (and lurkers) here, how many would be interested in playing in a new Pitboss? How many would prefer to wait a bit? How many never want to play again? lol

I want to, but my problem in this game (apart from idiocy) has been time or More precisely the lack thereof and that won't be changing for some time yet so I am unable to truly commit at this time.

Nah.. I'm part of two PBEM games right now which is enough for the moment. Perhaps if someone pressed hard enough I could join a team, but to be honest, but I just don't see it happening in the next couple of weeks (months).

Okay, well I guess with Locke not even bothering to log in since T201 and most other players voicing their desire to stop playing ASAP, this is quickly turning into a pointless endeavor. It's a waste of time spending hours micromanaging turns only to play against ghosts. A shame things turned out this way, because I think there was still a lot of game to play and a lot of issues that would have come into play - not the least of which would include coping with massive war weariness.

Anyway, I've logged in and paused the game so that just in case anyone changes their mind we still can play on... although I somehow doubt that will happen at this point. If we do end things here, I can't exactly say it's a satisfying conclusion - nor really a conclusion at all - but at least I've had a good deal of fun along the way. Hopefully everyone else has enjoyed the journey too, or at least parts thereof.

If this is the end of Pitboss 4, I do still hope to see many of you in future games... wherever and whenever they may happen. It's been a pleasure playing with you all - and though some of us have had our ups and downs, I hold no grudges against anyone and wish everyone all the best. Kudos to everyone for doing their part in making the first 200 turns of this game so exciting and interesting. Your time and effort was appreciated - even those of you who were pretty much solely working against me from way back. tongue Well done all of you. smile

I have a hard time picturing someone as smug as you in real life. Seriously.

QFT.

I know some private diplo may have been very different from what I saw, but of the stuff I've actually seen during the game Parkin was certainly not the most offensive player.
