Btw I was wrong about Annie, she was fixed:
"Fixed a bug where certain spells would deal damage twice" No offense to you, whatsoever, but I think your nearly-1500 ELO was a product of the small sample size. It takes a lot of games before your ELO truly stabilizes. I have long thought I was better than a 1500 player, but after several hundred games, I have only broken 1500 a couple times, so, what argument can I really make? My guess, based on what I have seen, is that right now you are more of a 1300-1400 player. Or maybe I am just too inconsistent to stabilize my ELO at a higher number. I have really high win percentages and KDA ratios with my historically-best characters (Shen, Miss Fortune, Warwick, Xin Zhao), but then I "give back" ELO with other characters. I dunno, I kinda stopped worrying about it. I have a full-time job and work 50-60 hours most weeks, and have a wife and two four-legged kids (dogs), so I don't have as much time to play LoL as the college kids, so I think that's maybe why I haven't gotten higher.

Looking at the ladder, it seems like my sample size compared to others at my exact rank is about middle of the pack, while yours is near the top. Also it's not like 1500 players are super-skilled or anything, they're so much easier than those players we've gotten against us in a normal full premade. I think you're right about losing ELO on your non-main characters. Out of those with more than one game played, you have 5 characters with over 50% win ratio and 23 with under 50%. As for time, I don't think that's the answer. You were already a lvl30 when I started this game and you've got 650 solo queue games under your belt, probably 2-3k games if you count the rest You're pretty much the exception at this rank, for whatever reason. Could be because of those non-main characters of yours, could be because of bad habits like keeping on playing while having a bad day and on a losing streak, could be fighting with your teammates, could be simply just bad luck... I don't know.

I think the most important factors other than (and maybe above) game skill are whether you duo queue and whether the champs you play benefit from that very much or not.
Then again, I'm inclined to try to rationalize things since I personally think my "true ELO" is two to three hundred points higher than my stated ELO.

Sunrise, your ELO is a real puzzle, as Iâm sure youâre a better player than that. What role are you playing? If youâre primarily playing junglers, it might be that youâre exposing solo top to a 1v2 lane quite often, which poor players usually canât handle. Generally, how do your solo queue games pan out?
Duo queueing seems to throw spanners into the works, both positive and negative. My experience with duo queues so far has been generally negative, as they tend to be out of their depth and feed quite a lot due to ELO adjustments.

Funny, a certain CurmudgeonicBriton said something eerily similar to that statement to me yesterday...

I hate it how the LoL client stays in the front but actually goes background after pressing the play button. So many times I've started writing my password and it'd actually write it on MSN instead. Now was the first time I actually hit enter before realising it and said my pass on MSN. Atleast he doesn't know the account name!

Oh no, they're planning to buff Morgana She's already good, and she'll be even better when people try her out after the buffs. Which means she'll get nerfed to the ground.

I was thinking about Morgana the other day. IMO, they really need to buff her, simply because she doesn't fit into the current meta. I can't ever think of a situation in which I'm pleased to see Morgana on my team. She's not very good as a bottom lane support, and she's wasted as a solo lane, because she doesn't do enough later on. The only way I can ever justify seeing her on a team at the moment is as a counter against a team with lots of hard CC, but even then, she only has one black shield every 15 seconds!
Why is she 'already good'?
(on the other hand, if she's getting buffed, I might start playing her again...)

(on the other hand, if she's getting buffed, I might start playing her again...) Well yeah you're right about her not fitting the current meta. But imo that shouldn't be a reason to change an otherwise perfectly viable champion. She would do a great job as a top solo (with tank jungler). Ashe is pretty much the #1 ad carry and that's because of her ultimate. Morgana's Black Shield directly counters Ashe. Morgana has great CC with her Q stun (or is it called snare? anyway, you can't move but can attack) and R's AoE stun. Not just that, but when farmed well (and she's a great farmer with her W), she does great damage. Q is also a strong initiation skill, it has longer range than you'd think. Her Q+W+R combo is very strong in the laning phase. It's not like she's a top pick or anything, but I think she's a great champ for normals at any level and also for atleast until 1,5k ELO, probably even higher. She's a bit of a niche champion tbh. We'd see more Morganas if there was someone famous playing her, kinda like how Doublelift plays Blitzcrank, Poppy etc. I just think that she's kind of a "sleeping OP" champion and once people try her out after the buffs, I fear she might become popular and then get nerfed to the ground and end up weaker than right now.

Morgana used to be really strong, but she got way-over nerfed, to her current state.
