Wow... I really hope that guy gets nailed by Riot. Breaking a press NDA like that is not only a good way to never be invited to another press event, but is also pretty malicious if the information is true.

Quite apart from the obvious and horrendous breach of trust from that individual, that is super, super, super, super, super, OMFG super exciting news.

http://dominion.leagueoflegends.com/ Not a lot there yet but there is a trailer for it.

All that hype for more "Soon." Pretty disappointing.

It is really strange as in the past they have said that they regretted overhyping things like magma chamber. I guess the fact that this is in a playable form means it is pretty far along though.

I noticed a new type of minion in the video. Anyone else spot anything interesting?

I found a better article http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/04/league...n-preview/ this one actually has some details.

I have zero interest until something actually comes out. Riot is really, really bad at managing expectations for upcoming stuff... Just remember how excited you were when you're still waiting for Dominion 4 months from now.

Valve will stage a DOTA2 tournament at gamescom here in Germany, August 17-21.

The winning team will take home 1,000,000 $ ! yikes

You can read more about it here: http://www.destructoid.com/valve-announc...7672.phtml

I think it's safe to say that "soon" will not be enough for LoL once DOTA 2 is out. Either they get their act together or they will take a massive hit in player numbers considering the marketing power Valve has.

Wow. Riot better get their shit together.

Yeah cause people will leave in masses when they hear about a tournament only for Dota 1 top teams. Anyone who leaves LoL for a reason like this must be really clueless. Even if there was more tournaments for Dota 2 players once it's out, most players probably have a better chance at winning in lottery than winning a tournament like that.

No, because if that is a sign about how serious Valve is about DotA2, then Riot, aka "The boy who cried wolf" had better step up their game and start delivering on some promises. Riot paid out $100,000 for their end of season 1 tournament. Valve is putting in 10x that amount for a preview of the game. That isn't a big deal to you?
