I would normally be after you, but we've skipped both fire&ice and ASM this go-round, and we've maybe got some lurkers to still drop in to the rotation? I've got both my turn in the SotS game and the PBEM12 map to work on, so I would be happy if someone wants to step in. Otherwise I'll probably play tomorrow evening.

Sorry about any confusion, Fire&Ice. frown I did post a got it, since the ordering had gotten all shuffled around.

Edit: And crossposted! lol The 60 gold is not so bad, but those two tougher skellies could be a problem. It is sunset, so retreating from the cavern does not help us much, but it is tempting to pull back and fight them in the open where we can swarm.

Looking ahead to future maps, we should consider leaving some of our max level units waiting in the list while recruiting a bunch of newbies to start building a bigger core army. We should probably continue to recall max level units if they are loyal, since we always need a few strong units to deal with trouble spots and anchor lines and such. But we need more promoted units for later scenarios, and we should start developing them.

Ooh! Honestly - I'm thinking the best solution here may be to back off overnight, just claim most of the rest of the villages and focus on staying alive. Maybe hide out in the forest overnight. 8-5 +25% is no joke!

And we still have 14 turns to finish this, so if we're lucky we can pull most of this surprise out into the light and only go in the cave afterward.

Unless ASM or a lurker wants it, I'll play tomorrow evening

Sounds like a good plan to me, Mardoc. Even if we end up fighting at night, at least in the open we can swarm. Trying to fight those things one-to-one in narrow spaces...ick. We would lose units, probably multiple units.
