Alright, save works fine for me, so Darrell just needs to patch to V 006. Also, Plako, unless you wanted to handicap us, but I think you forgot to remove the AI bonus for Mist and Mardoc.

Both teams should start with two techs, so we should have the same point total. (us Crafting/Exploration, them Crafting Agriculture). In the save you sent Darrell they have 8 points more than us, so I assumed Mist/Mardoc have an extra tech.
