Random.org gives me 1 and 17 for my rolls, so I guess that makes it

Scooter

...

Roland

I'm on a cruddy internet connection until at least the day after tomorrow (AT&T comes to hook up our internet service Thursday), so I won't be able to compulsively check the thread every 5 seconds (it taking more than 5 seconds to load alright)

I'll see what I can do though.

Sareln, what is the reasoning behind voting for a randomly selected mayor candidate?

Maybe we should try to limit the post count in this game in order to keep it manageable for everyone to read it all. It's a common villager strategy to talk lots and lots in order to get the wolves to either mess up or just not keep up, but it also makes it a royal pain for everybody. I know I was guilty of this last game and it seems like it helped keep me just far enough below the radar, but it doesn't make for a more enjoyable experience for everybody IMO.

And no, this is not a wolf ploy (not that it couldn't have been).

zakalwe Wrote:Roland's opening post seems like the kind of opening post he would make as a wolf. Not exactly damning evidence, but we have to start somewhere, so I'll put my vote down for Roland for now.

Putting the blinders on early zakalwe? I'm honestly a little surprised (ok, more than a little) to hear such a comment from you. For a minute there I thought MJW was talking. Care to elaborate on just how my opening post is "wolfish"?

I'm trying to take this round a little more light-hearted after the last debacle I was involved in. I've put so much of myself into these games in the past that I just got too burnt out, so really I wasn't even going to play until I saw some of the names in the sign-up thread. It seemed a shame to miss out on playing with some of the most storied characters around ( I LOVE a good discussion).

Trying not to be too defensive about this, but when I see you coming at me with such an accusation that, frankly, is baseless, it makes me wonder - especially with how tenacious you can be.

I'm not inclined to enjoy post limitations. If there were in this game, I wouldn't have signed up. I think it hurts the Village too much, and forces everyone to choose their words carefully, because you have to say everything you want to say right now, and everything you may want to say down the road, within a limited amount of posts. It just hampers the enjoyment, at least for me. I can understand not wanting to read through pages upon pages each day, but I feel such a restriction just sacrifices too much.

We could just try to avoid useless posts like this one wink

But personally I do enjoy the jokes tossed around, even if that would be the only content of the post. And the serious back and forth discussion is the whole point of the game, so I don't like the idea of limiting it. But easy for me to say since I practically work with computers and can check the forums at work smile

@Roland. I just wanted to get you talking, so I could get a better read on you.

@Catwalk. I know what you are saying, and I'm trying to limit myself a little in the sense that I won't pursue fruitless discussions. For example, I could keep hammering at Rowain's poor arguments until he moves his vote elsewhere, but I'll let it go for now.

@Uberfish. I can't imagine why you would say that as a villager, so I guess you actually are a discontented wolf. In which case, I have to say you are displaying very poor sportsmanship.

You can easily skim through the posts not worthwhile to read later on. Trying to limit the discussion - now that the game is underway - is wolfish behaviour imo.

And uberfish, can you please tell us if you are serious?
