Now Commodore has declared war on us too (albeit in accordance with our agreements). When will you guys learn?

Middle Earthers are a swarming pestilence on the face of the world, in their millions oppressing the entire globe under Seven Spirits' dark control. For all the noble resistance that I and my brethren put up, we cannot hope but delay. There is one, however, who can still stop Seven's "roflstomping" of a novice game:

Come, Ranamar! Command on your throne again, your people and your game still will follow you if you can resist the sweet poison of Seven's advice. For though he promises glory and power, you know that as you are there is nothing but cold and darkness before and behind. For you see, good king, the first empire Seven conquered was not the Nice Guy France, but Mali itself!

Well played, good sir. =)

If you stop having turns show up around lunchtime for me, Seven might not impatiently play them before I get home, too. wink

lol It's all in good fun, mate. Although, you know, it's not my fault that the turn order seems a little shortened here. Now I wonder who got rid of the person in the proper post-HRE time slot? :neenernee

A hit! A very palpable hit! lol

It doesn't excuse, for example, this weekend, but I've come home after "I've grabbed the save and I'm halfway through it," a remarkable number of times. Seven really likes playing civ, if you haven't noticed. wink

Heh. Not my fault it takes several hours to play the turn and write a report these days. wink

First, in the interests of levity, I would like to publicly acknowledge the Middle Earth crusade against centralized religion, in commemoration of our destruction (as of this past turn) of the majority of holy cities on the donut planet.
True, we have destroyed many other cities as well, but we will not spare a Holy City. nono

In the interest of preserving lives, and of trying to staunch the bleeding that the entire world feels, King Ranamar and I have come to an agreement. The name "UN" must mean something, something more than bloody-handed tyrants crowing about slaughter and death. However long this world lasts (and global warming has hit, already turning places to desert), the Seven Spirits will be mythological demons, tales of them told to small children to frighten them into doing what is right.

A race has been proposed, to build the U.N. Headquarters and unite this world into an era of peace and restoration. To the builder of this fine place will go the votes...but if indeed Mali builds the UN first, it shall be Ranamar alone, not some sham "RL7", to whom Com of Modor shall cast his votes. He encourages his fellow brothers in the Alliance of Notmali to do likewise. Let this world, this "Newbs Game", be won by an actual "newb", whatever that is. The seven spirits first vile conquest was Mali, but that does not have to be the final story. Rebuke them, and affirm peace!

Indeed. As soon as we can figure out how to get our message to the whole world at once, there will be an edifice built to put out a message of total unity. Surely, with the greatest broadcast network in the world, (despite not yet knowing how to build a broadcast tower...) Ranamar's message of world unification will not go unheeded.

While these events will likely be recorded across the world, I am sure that dramatizations bearing only a tenuous resemblance to reality and containing larger-than-life personalities will follow in short order. This can only improve the retelling.

Paid for by Comrades for Ranamar.

A cease-fire has been signed on the southeastern portion of the world, allowing widows and orphans the time to grieve, war-torn farms a chance to regrow crops in the blood-soaked soil, and men and women the faintest glimmers of hope. We cannot keep fighting in a Mali-raped world, as even the Malinese deserve better than war weariness and despair. I'm calling people everywhere to unite, in every nation everywhere. Nobody wants to send the world in chaos and death, but Hyborian scientists are working around the clock on a better solution. Soon, the radios that Mali has used so brutally to oppress and confuse the world will be used to unite us all.

Vote Commodore, when you can. Donations to the Mass Media Project research effort are also appreciated and tax-deductable.[/SIZE]
