And observatories are nice too. We can do astro after democracy.

Well it seems, from the in-game chat log, that Ruff has been doing a sweepstake on siege losses. It didn't stop him from taking TT's city, though, and he is pretty much gassed.
We had this when I opened the save, which I ignored.
So, it was time to take Ewood Park, firstly with these odds.
And then with these.
After that.
Then the rest were 99%. We won them all. This is inside Ewood Park.
Our fleet of well-placed mounted units advanced onwards to Old Trafford.
This is the defence. Only the musket will be any difficulty (presumably another when we see it). Nice city size - you will see that the new Great Person is in this city. Could have had a golden age had he evacuated the Great Scientist from the capital. Ah well.
Pocket Bullets tried for a non-prophet.
And succeeds!
Pre-EOT power graph.
We should take Old Trafford next turn, with the two other mainland cities the turn after (depending on what's in Craven Cottage). I am running out of places to draft, but did manage it.
So, T182 just played, with Democracy needing 3 turns. T183 - nothing. T184 - trigger 12-turn golden age. T185 - revolt to US-Bureau-Slavery-FM-OR.
And on the sixth day, god created Manchester.

Why not GA + revolt on T185?
I have to run.

With Old Trafford falling next turn, let's continue straight at TT. No need to wait for Pegasus to be cleaned up, time is of the essence. Ashes is Berlin and 1945 is fast approaching.

I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

We're more likely to get Democracy without having to build wealth. But I'm not averse to holding off if you want to maximise the GA hammers.

Indeed, that was my plan.
I was contemplating replanting Doosra since it's annoyingly one tile off the coast, but settlers are too far away (and have other business) and at least it can share the cows where it is.

I've played half the turn but have to go out (I am on holiday after all). Will finish it off tonight.
So far, I have captured Old Trafford, for the loss of one cuir, advanced on Peg's three remaining cities, and declared on TT, threatening a city next turn.
Next run, we will definitely take two of Peg's cities, and also one of TT's (I am presuming he has no army left although I should really check the power chart - but his visible cities are very poorly defended). We have mounted units pretty well placed to continue the rampage with what amounts to a two-horse race to capture as many TT's cities as possible.
Kind of like a blood-thirsty version of supermarket sweep.
Capture gold will be plenty to get Democracy in 2 turns. I can fire the golden age on T184 or T185, so I'm happy to defer to you on this.
I can see Uruk Reborn now, and I can attack next turn with 43% win odds, 17% retreat odds. Fortify bonus is at maximum so odds won't change. Shall we go for it? It would drastically improve our happiness problems, but if we lose... it will be a while before reinforcements arrive. Alternatively, there are two workers chopping a forest which we can pinch if he doesn't move them.
Anyway, I will finish the turn later today, as well as posting some pictures.

Attacking Uruk Reborn sounds good.
Should we propose a land split with Ruff, now that we're in position to negotiate?
I have to run.

OK, I will roll the die next turn. Or flip the coin. Or whatever.
Hmmm, I'd prefer to have a "whatever you can grab" non-agreement, as much as anything because it is more fun.

Right, just about time for a quick turn report. Here is the shot of Uruk Reborn.
I check the Espionage screen but no hammers stored? Does it take a turn to update?
So anyway, here is Old Trafford. Not bad at all!
I sent in a Flanking II cuir, which did nothing. So I sent in another and it withdrew. With the musket injured, our cavs got very good odds and we suffered no further losses.
With this sight of Doosra.
I moved in to declare war, figuring all TT's troops (more or less) had been thrown at Ruff. I also captured the rogue worker.
This gives an idea of how well defended the cities are. The units you see are the sole defenders, and there is an archer moving between the two.
