Blah, I meant I rune-combined it with one of the other runes and I regretted that.
You can't sell runes indeed, I'm just an idiot.

Considering the name changer, I wish Riot would let you sell a rune or champ in exchange for like 10RP Deceptus Wrote:And yes, my most famed use of rune combiner was when I got drunk and turned all my mana regen per level yellows into different runes and I had to buy them again. So, a typical Tuesday night in the Seyruun household then?
Regarding the season 1 ending from the LoL forums, I came across this reply that made me smile

PatchNotes Wrote:You can now use multiple Health or Mana Potions while you have one active which will queue them up to be used after the previous completes (maximum 5 stacks) Well, isn't that nice.
First two times using Talon:
13-4-11 10-4-8 My build: Dorans blade - Boots - Avarice Blade - The Brutalizer - B.F. Sword - Merc Treads - Infinity Edge - Youmuus - Phage - Sheen - Triforce - Bloodthirster And one more slot when you sell Dorans blade late game, but I never got that far. Maybe Frozen Mallet or another Infinity Edge. Pick up health potions with any leftover money. Also red potions any time after you have your IE. Runes were: ARP quints, ARP reds, armor yellows, mresist blues.
Might want to consider skipping IE in favour of getting Triforce first, I'd also complete Youmuu's earlier as its not that expensive.
I haven't played Talon though after watching over half of Chaox's marathon now, he'd almost certainly get Triforce before IE on a melee champ that goes toplane, if you're just looking to farm top lane you could also look as GP5 items like HoG

My favourite part Quote: Moonflair Spellblade, Cloak and Dagger, and Eleisa's Miracle now give 35 tenacity, up from 25 Ninja tabi and Elyssia's miracle seem to be even more of a killer combination for a lot of champs now.
Here's my favorite nugget from the patch notes:
Quote:Creep camp minimap icons are now more consistent; clairvoyance and wards will now properly update the map icons Remember how dropping a ward or CVing an empty neutral camp would never remove the indicator on the minimap? Been bugging me for months now. Great change - if you have vision on the camp, the map should update. Other thoughts: - Brand finally seeing nerfs after months of top-tier status. If Riot stops here, he'll be fine. If they keep going, he'll drop out of competitive play. - Kassadin got some major buffs. Expect to see more of him. - Forget whatever Phreak said in the patch preview. Mordekaiser was absolutely raped into the crap tier by these changes. They basically cut his shield generation by half (minion change), reduced the damage on Mace of Spades, and further cut the shield generation from Siphon of Destruction to single-target only. Holy hell! Since Mordekaiser is my least favorite champ in the game I suppose I'm happy to see this, but it's one of those "super overkill" solutions that Riot is fond of using. Morde will drop from always banned to never played status overnight. - Olaf got a pretty sizeable buff, removing the mana cost completely from Reckless Swing. While I doubt we'll be seeing him in competitive play, this helps make him a lot more viable. - More expected Orianna nerfs! I don't even think she'll be one of the better champions anymore. I told Speaker yesterday, this is the "one nerf too far" that Riot always does. Her range was the one thing that made her so strong, and that was hit hard in this patch. Looking forward to laning against Oriannas now. - Quiet Rammus buffs that are rather significant. The extra base damage and magic damage returned from Defensive Ball Curl will help him jungle a lot faster. - Huge, huge buffs to Shen. He will likely now become a viable champ again. For some reason, Riot seems to want you to build AP on Shen now (????) Umm, ok... The problem with Shen before was the way they destroyed his Vorpal Blade, so he was incapable of dealing any damage. Now Shen's back to roughly his old damage output on Vorpal Blade again. We'll have to experiment with top lane Shen and see how it goes. Feels like it would be pretty decent to me, letting you get a free Teleport for dragon control off Shen's ult (which now costs 0 Energy). Don't know why they buffed the AP ratio of Stand United instead of the base shield though... - Singed buffs? OK, sure, why not. The increase to Sion's base stats makes him a lot more viable as well. - Sona's heal buffed; even if the rank 5 heal went down from 125 to 120, this is still a major help to Sona, because the rank 1 heal went up enormously from 25 to 40. Healing for 25 health was simply LOL-worthy in the last patch, and I'm glad they fixed it. Sona is once again very viable in lane, although her lategame heals are still rather pathetic. Just max cooldown reduction on her and spam quantity over quality. - These are major Taric buffs. I think he became a lot stronger with these changes. More range on the heal, Shatter kind of a mixed bag (more spammable but less damage dealt), Stun with a slightly shorter range but much MUCH faster projectile speed (a very big deal), and that new ult which gives Taric infinitely more burst damage. Taric + strong AD in bot has now gotten pretty ridiculous. Think how much damage Taric/Caitlyn can now do with a stun -> trap -> shatter -> ult combination... Scary stuff! Need to play Taric again now and experiment. Overall I thought this was a pretty solid patch, with the exception of the total overkill to Mordekaiser. But then I remember that I hate Mordekaiser, so I'm not unhappy at all. |
