Ichabod Wrote:Is it possible for you to comment on the players, Zakalwe? Especially on TT (I'm sorry if you already presented your case against him, but I can't remember right now), Catwalk, Scooter and Sareln, but other players would be nice too.

I believe I have commented on most players quite recently, but it's been spread out over multiple posts because I never had the time to sit down and write a treatise. I'm boarding a plane to fly home soon, after two busy workdays, so I'll have to keep it relatively brief now as well. I'll be back on-line before the deadline, though.

Regarding TT, Catwalk, Scooter, and Sareln, I'm not convinced any of them are innocent, and right now I'd probably rate their wolfishness in that order. I cannot really point to any particular things that scream wolf for any individual player, but by a process of elimination those are the ones I suspect the most. I was a bit wary earlier today of Roland, who had been surfing for a while on a wave of low-content high-word-count posts. But I think his most recent post contained more actual thoughts, so that was somewhat reassuring. I have some niggling doubts about Meiz as well. In fact, he may belong on my top 4 list, thinking about it. Part of me thinks he has been focusing a bit too exclusively on the Scooter theory, without really trying all that hard to convince anyone of anything. If Meiz turns out to be a wolf I would be more inclined to suspect Scooter as well. The early accusations from Meiz seem like a classical distance-building move to me. It is tempting to peg Jkaen as a wolf, too, due to the general shortage of suspicious villagers.

I've read Zakalwe's messages with wolf glasses on and I still get a villager read from him. Sorry to disappoint, Serdoa frown. To tell the truth, a lot of the points you accuse Zak in your megapost are presented in a bit too unfair light. I bet we could craft similar posts from anyone and conclude that they cannot be anything else than a wolf. I seriously hope no one will do the same from my play, so I don't have to go to sleep crying.

I found uberfish's and Erebus's play suspicious and I'm clearly not the only one, looking at the comments and votes cast on these two. I agree that uberfish's accusations against zak reminded a lot of the way he played in WW5 as a wolf. And uber attacked Zak and ignored TT, despite that they both did the same thing. Erebus's play is probably in fresh memory for everyone, some seriously suspicious stuff there as well. So I can't blame Zak for doing things I'd do in his shoes as well. I do think Zakalwe has provided credible and open explanations for his play so far. Maybe I'm totally blinded, but there is no way I'd vote Zak today with these basis.

For reference, my current "pretty sure villager" - list contains: Serdoa, Ichabod, Roland, Gaspar

"probably a villager" - list: Zakalwe, Injera

In the middle: Sareln, Catwalk (sorry, you dropped one step below smile)

And damn suspicious: scooter, Twinkletoes

Probably a sleeping wolf: Jkaen
(based on the comments how hard it seems to find wolves)

Ok, I have to think some stuff which was posted through still, but my most likely suspects (which should hopefully answer both Rolands and catwalks question)

1. zakalwe

and the following people I all have on my list as additional possibilities (that doesn't mean that I am sure on them being wolves, but rather that I have not enough evidence against it either):

- Meiz
- Gaspar
- Injera
- scooter
- Jkaen

The following people are not on my list

- Roland: his typical self; open to discussion, even of people who are damned already by all others;
- Ichabod: several well-thought-out posts; asks for critical thinking -> makes no sense as wolf
- catwalk: posts so damning no wolf would post them because - despite all comments of "a wolf might think he'll get an alibi this way" - it just makes no sense if you have not even one vote on you
- Sareln: his notes for this day are interesting; typical day3/day4 mislynch target; NO evidence whatsoever beyond what he could counter provided
- TT: emotional, upset, angry -> typical TT (sorry). If he gets angry, he is quite easy to read and I don't think he can fake that. I think I was one of the people to make him most angry ever when I wrote a (in hindsight) pretty unfriendly post telling him that he should only play as I tell him in our at that time running PBEM-game on his birthday.

Ok, I unfortunately have been really strapped for time, but I'd like to see Catwalk take a bit more pressure due to a few things. I'm going to give a brief version of them, as I don't have the time to heavily elaborate unfortunately.

1. Dishonesty and sucking up to other players is not a pro-village move whatsoever.

2. The late jump off of Catwalk at the end of Day2 was bizarre. Also, I know I'm innocent, so it's hard to believe that Erebus, myself, AND Catwalk were all innocent. Do we suck THAT bad at hunting WW's?? I doubt it.

3. His tone throughout the game has been somewhat erratic. It's just a vibe thing really, so nothing particularly concrete: I could go through a bunch of his old posts and look for evidence but to be honest, A) I don't have time for that and B) that tends to be unfair analysis anyways, so I won't. But he's never given a strong villager vibe to me. This coupled with the above items makes me think he's been slipping by.

That said, I know there's only a few hours left, so if this vote doesn't gain traction I'll swap my vote to something meaningful. The two guys on the block seems to be TT and Zakalwe, and really I'm torn between the two options. TT has never seemed all the villagerish throughout the game, but low post frequency has made it hard to come up with anything more concrete than that. Zakalwe on the other hand - I want to believe he's a villager, but even his reactions NOW to Serdoa does NOT seem like typical villager Zak. It's like he's caught, but he's willing to go down so as to spare another wolf..? The double-voter is the only one with value at this point though. Anyways, I guess his tone now in face of being almost lynched does not seem like the villager Zakalwe we've seen in the past who defended himself heavily. I was pretty heavily leaning TT as a better candidate than Zak until the last 20ish hours unfolded, and now I'm having doubts.

Zak - I guess I'm just not convinced in your innocence because you are competitive like me, and I'd expect you to be pretty pissed off that you could be on the losing end of the first flawless wolf victory. You don't seem that way at all though... Almost too calm and controlled. That's what worries me.

Has he really been emotional, upset, and angry, though?

If I am to point to one single thing about TT, I think his post where he tries to discredit me by implying that I am to blame for Rowain and MNG's deaths is pretty suspicious. (I quoted it earlier.)

I remember that day pretty vividly lol.

Can you point me to where he's shown that kind of anger/emotion though? I haven't seen it or don't remember it, but it's very possible I've missed it... But I've actually been expecting that exact type of emotion and thought it was noteworthy that I have NOT seen it. (not arguing here - trying to find out if I missed it somewhere - I just dont remember it)

The above was cross posted with Zak.

With Serdoa, I'm mostly just exasperated. And I know he will feel very foolish after the game, (unless he's a brilliant wolf, that is) so I kind of pity him as well. Catwalk feels a lot more wolfish than Serdoa, though, so it's more aggravating when he flips around and votes for me. I did react to that, if you recall.
