Werewolf 7 game thread

zak, scooter was as well a very possible mislynch. Obviously because otherwise he would not have nearly overtaken Erebus at the end. So it didn't matter at all.

And I don't think you get heat for switching or not switching. You get heat for making illogical arguments. TOOT.

Your stance on me has really been all over the place in this game, Roland. It's starting to get suspicious. (Although I guess you are not the only one who has been wavering.)

Seems like many players here are quick to peg me as an obvious innocent when it suits their purpose, but quickly reverse their opinions when that seems convenient. Maybe it's my paranoia speaking but I think it is a bit curious.

In whose mind? Yours? Catwalk's? You've already proven your track record when it comes to mislynches, and everyone in here knows just how willing most of the Village is in following you - no matter the outcome.

zakalwe Wrote:Roland voted at the last minute for Scooter, and nobody seems to suspect him for it.

It's not the first time I've pulled a last-minute stunt like that. You've recognized every other pattern of my behavior (emotional overreaction, very late initial voting, etc.). That should be no surprise to you - but I would be surprised to see you do it, after you spent a great deal of time and effort building your case against Erebus.

zakalwe Wrote:Given my allegedly superhuman powers of deception, don't you think I could pull off the same stunt? It wouldn't reflect well on Serdoa, either, so if he is innocent that would be another bonus.

I know you can be damn perceptive when you want to be, but thus far this game you haven't been. We're three Days in and you've yet to land a single 'Wolf in my eyes. You can only do that so long before you start to arouse suspicion. Besides, you said it yourself on Day 1 (IIRC) - "there will be plenty of time to find the 'deep cover' 'Wolves." What a beautiful gem to plant in the minds of every single Villager in this game, right at the very beginning. Calm words of reassurance from zakalwe, the obvious Villager, the Shepherd, the Safe One.

Sareln Wrote:I'm no longer on the block and with TT, Zakalwe, Scooter all up we're definitely exposing ourselves to the double-voting wolf. Looking at who is voting for whom, I find myself distinctly more comfortable voting with Gaspar and Zakalwe. Either we'll be able to build a Scooter run or at least we'll get the lynch the village chooses (and therefore perhaps multiple wolves) instead of the one the double-voter picks. I'd rather pick between TT & Scooter today, than either of those with Zakalwe, abscribing to the original Gaspar thinking of pushing the quiets today.

Clarification on this: I think the votes right now are 4.1, 3, 3 :: Zakalwe, TT, Scooter. If I stay on TT then those votes are 4.1, 4, 2. The wolf double-voter gets to pick between Zak & TT. I don't think that's a super-valuable piece of information. Either forcing the double-voter to pick between Scooter & Zak or Scooter & TT is more valuable in my perspective. Therefore, I switch to Scooter. This takes it to 4.1, 3, 3. Now the wolf double-voter doesn't matter and the person being tested here is Serdoa.

If another joins us from the TT pile on Scooter, we're then at 4.1, 2, 4 and the double-voter is being tested again, but now he's testing 2 vocal players (Scooter & Zakalwe) instead of a time-impacted one and a vocal one.

If another joins us on scooter from Zak, then it's 3.1, 3, 4. The double voter is picking between Scooter & Zakalwe. I don't know what happens if the double voter picks TT making it 4 - 4. Either it tests Serdoa, or it's a choice of Scooter over Zakalwe since he got to 4 first.

That's my read on the current voting situation. Either we sit where we are and it's up to dear mayor, not the double-vote wolf, or someone not Serdoa defects to vote for Scooter and the double-wolf decides between Zakalwe and Scooter. Which is a better situation than the double-wolf deciding between TT and Zakalwe IMO.

Sareln, from the 3 TT voters, two are sleeping right now as far as I understood their comments in the thread (Meiz and Ichabod). Leaves scooter who probably won't join in on himself.

Anyway, someone from zak would have to change to scooter to make it a 4.1 vs 4, testing the double-voter. Not sure on it - I think it makes sense but I don't trust my judgement at this time.

zakalwe Wrote:And, really? Have you not noticed the amount of heat I'm catching for NOT switching?

Yes I've noticed, and dismissed it as jumping at shadows. I'm not buying it either way, because the only way to prove it without killing you is by killing scooter, and if he turns up innocent today it will be too late to do anything about it by tomorrow. JKaen the 'Wolf may bite it today via modkill, and Serdoa will probably die tonight since we have no Baner and no Roleblocker to protect us. That means tomorrow 2 more 'Wolves will have a shot at the Mayor position - since there's way too much heat on you today for the Village to vote you in - and you'll still be alive, surprise surprise. Even if we nail you tomorrow, and keep the 'Wolves from getting the Mayor spot, unless you or JKaen is the Double Voter we'll still be in trouble - and by then we'll ALL be jumping at shadows trying to find the last two 'Wolves.

To clarify, I'm not saying we should lynch Scooter because I think he is innocent. I'm saying that I think I made a compelling argument why his innocence would also imply mine. So I found it strange that Scooter ignored that argument. (To spell it out: maybe the argument doesn't appeal to him, because he is in fact not innocent.)
