The jerk part is because you're always so goddamned hostile when you think you're right. You sure learn how to be assertive without being mean. And also learn how to play Civ without throwing away 3 other peoples games in spite.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Alright, seriously now. Both of you need to go chill out. Take the rest of the night off, have a drink, be with your wife, read a book, do anything to take your mind off this. It's one thing to get emotionally involved. It's quite another to start slinging insults. There's no call for that. And dragging your dying Civ game into this is not cool, Gaspar. I expect better from you.
Serdoa, you know I respect you, but I have to agree with the others - blasting someone over missing a color tag is pure paranoia, plain and simple. Christ, it took me 15 minutes to figure out how to make a URL tag like I did earlier, and even then I had to go back and look 3 times before I got it right.
I've said my peace.

I mostly agree with your analysis Injera: 1) Serdoa for mayor if possible 2) Vigilante for mayor if only one claim 3) whoever we can agree on.
If there is a vigilante struggle, I'd be wary of picking one of them.
Serdoa and Gaspar, I'd like to ask you to tone it down a little. It's just a game, we're playing it to have fun. I think you're both equally bad at this point, just let it go.

With dawn breaking and tempers fraying, the village gathers to discuss the lynch of the day. Some are even starting to doubt the existence of wolves, chalking up the recent string of deaths to freak coincidences.
Nevertheless, someone is missing.
"But, Serdoa was just here!"
Yes, Serdoa was killed in the night. Serdoa was the Vigilante!
Today we need both a lynch vote and a mayor vote. Day 4 has begun, and will end at 2200 GMT Saturday, Sept 17th. There is a small chance that I will be unable to post results exactly on time, but the day will end then regardless.

I had a big long post in the works that I've decided to scrap for a few reasons, not least of which is that a lot of thoughts I had have been covered. Most though is that I've really been trying to control my temper around here - as Catwalk said, these are just games, and I really enjoy the community here and enjoy playing with most of you. There's really no reason to flip my lid in the manner I did here or have done in some other games, and I am truly sorry that I subjected everyone to that. As such, I'm going to put myself on punishment a bit and step away from the game until such time as I've regained my full composure.
I do want to specifically apologize to Serdoa - I've argued on your behalf in previous places that a lot of what you say gets lost in translation. I could tell zakalwe kept aware of that and despite obvious frustration never actually let it out during your two day long battle and I wish I had a bit of his restraint. Obviously, making a few mistakes in a game shouldn't be an impediment to playing - we've all made mistakes every game - and you pour yourself into this more than most. Its admirable. While obviously you touched a nerve, it probably also has to do with some residual frustration from PBEM14 and its asinine for me to have let that spill over here. I'll try and touch basis with you privately as well as to not completely derail the game for the rest of everyone, but I wanted to get that out in public as well, since I lost my head in public.
Last but not least - on the game - I think the most productive thing everyone could do is to try and put together their list of whom they think are the most likely innocents and vote that person mayor, perhaps excepting one's self since in all cases, we'd name ourselves there. Then we can spend the rest of the days trying to sort out the wolves. But I think spending 48 hours debating both topics is counter-productive. More later, when I'm not feeling like such a giant horse's ass.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

It's unfortunate with a vigilante mayor that we didn't even get a chance to use the role to confirm an innocent. On the other hand, it does provide a little bit of reason as to why the vigilante felt he had to act on Day 1, with so little information.
It's important to realize that we need a unanimous vote for Mayor, and then we vote whomever the mayor votes for (though we can, of course, discuss the target as a group.) This is because we need the mayor's vote to override the 'wolves, and at any time 4 wolves can move over to a second target. If we have a 8-1 split vote for mayor, that will become 4-5 in the last minute and we will lose. So whatever we do, we must be unified in that regard.
Hopefully I won't regret this, but I'm going to follow Serdoa's suggestion and nominate myself for mayor.
Injera.
I don't really know how well everyone trusts me, but one thing I think everyone can see is that I've played this game with my heart on my sleeve a bit. This has been one hell of a learning experience for me. I've snapped at people a little more than I should and I'm sorry about that. I've held my tongue when I should have spoken up, and I'm sorry about that too. I've been baffled by the village only to find myself standing smack dab in the middle, utterly confused. I've made some smart plays and some dumb ones, but I've always followed my own path, and thought through things as best I could, trying my best to catch wolves.
If you're wondering about my vote yesterday on zakalwe, my thoughts went as follows: I felt like we were getting played by the werewolves with our vote on TT, and I needed somewhere to switch. I had no doubt of Serdoa's innocence for a simple reason: if he was a wolf he would have gone for an easier target an zakalwe and the wolves would have won easily. Unfortunately, with renewed trust in Serdoa my Day 1 suspicions of zakalwe took over and drowned out the warmer feelings of Day 2, and I ended up choosing poorly.
In the event you're not comfortable with me for Mayor, please list who you would be comfortable with. Like I said, we must be unanimous in this as a village. My next choice would be Roland. I don't know, with how things have played out the last day and night, if I would be comfortable with anyone else. That being said, if rest of you wanted to vote for anyone, from Catwalk to Ichabod, I would go along. We must have unity.

Injera for mayor. Was worried about his Zak -> Cat -> Zak votes but I think he's assuaged my concerns there. I would be alright with myself (naturally) or Roland as mayor-villager if we can't reach consensus on Injera. I'll hold my recommendation for the noose for now.
