Gonna be fun watching the meta evolve  I wasn't here for the beginning of Summoner's Rift or Twisted Treeline, but I'd imagine that people figure out a good tactic, then people figure out a counter to that, then a counter to the next one and so on. As for right now, I think once people get a little more familiar with all the new items and the map and start playing "more serious", they won't be letting capture points empty high speed champs to cap for free.

Your observation concering Rammus is quite interesting, I was using movement quints on Singed in one game which worked out pretty well, but of course Rammus is much faster. That's really one thing that's very hard to balance through items without touching Rammus' actual skillset.
Another thing that I noticed was an Olaf on the enemy team who completely annihilated anyone, but that might have been skill related. I also believe that champions like Caitlyn who are supposed to benefit from their early game advantage are bottom tier in this mode. Generally speaking it is going to be interesting to see if ranged AD carries will see a decline in this mode. With all the gold available any melee just blows the ranged champions up in no time in a 1v1 or 2v2, (though Vayne seemed to be decent in fights because of her tumble and movement speed passive near champions which allows nice harass and retreat).

One champ I think will be really good in Dominion is Udyr, with so much money in the game when he roams like Sullla was for his youtube game (though I guess not quite as fast), he's always going to force the other team to send 2-3 people to stop him, otherwise he'll simply kill the other champ and take the tower anyway, and as soon as the other team is forced to respond to him, the rest of udyr's team will outnumber the enemy and take the bottom tower. No matter what, Udyr's team wins.

The Dominion windows are going to be announced in the Dominion forums of the various server's websites. There won't be a lot of warning though because they are deliberately trying to make them when there will be less people on.
I am looking forward to playing Udyr on Dominion, I agree it seems like he will be amazing. However I am most looking forward to playing Poppy. Guaranteed income on Poppy will be crazy, she has a speed boost and can 1vs1 pretty much anyone plus her ult means that however many people you send it is always a 1vs1.

Yessss Akali on sale! Been getting absolutely TRASHED by Akalis last few days, really made me want to buy her.
EDIT: Oh, she's one of those 3k IP 975 RP champs, not worth it even in sale..

She is only 3150 IP though, which doesn't take too long to accumulate (depending on how much you play of course.) My policy is that any champion priced at 3150 or lower, I buy with IP. If they are more expensive I wait until they are on sale and get them for 487 RP.

Buying champs with RP at all seems kind of silly to me... you'll get the IP eventually.
