It still surprises me how much the level 12-15ish high ranked game looks like our games when people are hitting 18. Things just start quicker. Do you feel like this is just more willingness to leave a lane to support team mates in ganking/defending? If I remember right just farming a lane is superior (generally) to leaving to gank if just looking at 1 champ. When are you generally willing/not willing to abandon your lane temporarily Speaker?

The laning phase in a super high elo tournament game usually does not last more than 12 minutes or so. They start fighting over buffs, dragons, wards, and other team goals around that time, and prior to that, there are always numerous gank attempts. Characterizing the first 20 minutes of tournament games as boring is just generally not true.

While it is true that sometimes there are games that are exciting from the start (i.e. early jungle ganks) the fighting for strategical points often consists in preventing the enemy from accomplishing their goal. So if the enemy moves towards the river, your team moves there as well and the dragon attempt is aborted with neither side getting it.
Also keep in mind that this discussion centered around a comparison of the Dominion vs Summoner's Rift game modes and I believe we don't need to argue about the fact that Dominion offers much more immediate action.
And IIRC Riot has tried to encourage early harassment/action on SR in the past as well (I am thinking of changes like the Doran's item cost, levelup health regain changes and the recent healer nerf).

My guess is that they are so good at last hitting, they get the items they need faster, so they are more comfortable leaving the lane to pursue a greater objective.

Looking at the replay of the last game, last night, Sullla stole baron with his first auto-attack, By misclicking baron instead of Varis. Well, It's a loss of glory for Sir Bruce, But should make Sullla laugh.

Did you also see when I flung the minion instead of Ashe in a teamfight? Or when I got confused about which character I was and just stood around during a gank? My KDA was good but I actually played pretty poorly.
