Oh, I've had a role for a while. I didn't want to leave a different impression; I got an email about 10 minutes after I made my first post. And, for the record, I am no SCUM.
The point I was making is that my first post was written before I had knowledge of my role. The only way that post is in any way emblematic of my guilt is if I'm psychic.

Bob, I voted because there was no vote in the first post. Keep up.

I love how this format seems to be promoting even less conversation.

At least there are no walls of text. I guess this proves the Sullla doctrine - people need a turn timer.
Serdoa getting emotional very early = scum. Serdoa accusing the three people voting for him of being scum = stupid (town?).
I have to run.

If we had something secondary to talk about (not necessarily a mayor, but something) I wonder if it would be different. I do think there's a bit of a Day 1 hump here- once we bring out the first Space Noose there will be more to talk about.

This isn't rhetorical- do you think it's possible to read much into peoples' first few posts? In that particular case I just kind of glazed over it as "silly posts at the start + some bad blood," but I'm genuinely curious if you think there's any significant chance to find early tells like that.
I dunno, I figure we've a better chance to get a lucky SCUM hit here just looking at folks who are staying low. Rowain has two mostly joke votes, Catwalk has a "whatever" vote, Sareln votes second to last for the last person, Erebus is a no show, etc.

They are very weak indications, but you have to start somewhere. So I'm serious in using them as indicators until something better turns up. Once we start building cases, the town's reactions to these "cases" could provider further evidence one way or another.
For example, MNG was caught based on one of his first posts in WW6(?), a nine player game. The detail was minor, but he just kept squirming when put under pressure. The village won a flawless victory in that one.
I have to run.

Still joking? Did you not read the "hare-brained" part?
Seriously though, how do you think we should catch the scum, Catwalk?

Yeah. 10 hours ago I pondered to switch to Injera tpo put some pressure on him. But I feared that he might get killed with my vote on him during my night because I didn't really want him lynched right now - so I refrained to switch. Honestly I don't like this insta-lynch rule.

Catwalk Wrote:I say we pile 5 votes on assorted riff raff (other than me). Then see if they float or not when we toss them in the water. Tested and true method, can't go wrong with it. I'm voting Injera for voting for me last game (yes, I can and will use that on anyone).
(bolding done by me). Interesting that he doesn't follow his own tactic.
So maybe Catwalk is the right choice?
