Thanks.
Well, we can get Settler - Stonehenge or Settler - Settler or Settler - Worker - Worker with that giant pile of hammers - that's something at least. But we're definitely hurting for commerce at that point, basically stuck at starting levels because we only ever started two cottages. I guess we'll need open borders with two other players and then build workers -> cottages and try to get Currency ASAP.
Another option to consider from that position is Pyramids. If we settle on our stone we could get in in Ganymede around t55. They are freaking expensive though and we'd have to build Libraries (or Stonehenge and work priests instead), which sucks.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly. We'll have a commerce challenge, I think pyramids could fix that, though.

Could mackoti be going for the Pyramids maybe?
And on the sixth day, god created Manchester.

Well he's Mackoti, and he's Pericles (Cre/Phi). So he definitely wants the Pyramids. I would have thought he'd settle stone before starting them, though. We can see from the diplo screen that he doesn't have stone.
So I fear he's taken a leaf from our PBEM17 book and is going for GLH first and then Pyramids.
Other random complaints: Both Mackoti and YNL are spending EPs on us. And Luddicator's barb city is size 2 and defended by three warriors. Such a freebie. I hope it messes up their dotmap horribly.

I think we'll be okay even if we lose the Great Lighthouse. In that case, we can found three new cities on T50 - one on the northeast island, one on the stone, and one 3W of Io. Build Stonehenge in Callisto on the same turn (worker overflow + chop), and build Pyramids in Ganymede T55.

When micromanaged this becomes Stone and Stonehenge t49, Pyramids t53.

Got it. And played t42. Report later. I deviated slightly from the micro plan to let Callisto keep growing to size 4. (Worked the forest there instead of a priest.)

The turn, in words: Our northernmost warrior moved nw, spotted a 0.4/2 YNL warrior. Should head back to Io next to go on galley. Other warrior moved to stone. NW of stone is a peak, 2W of stone is crabs. Both are in Thessalonica's culture, third ring. Thessa is at 98/250 culture.
Luddicator have an Impi on the hill 2S of the barb city. Our scout joined it.
Athens grew to size 4, and we and Luddicator founded our fifth cities. YNL still at 2.

Looking good!
How do you know Thessa's culture? Just from counting CRE + religion turns?
Is there anything about the micro plan we'd want to do differently to better set up for the case where we don't get GLH?
I think we should delay settling the 3W of Io spot for quite a while. It doesn't add a single resource (dyes don't count yet). For example, I'd rather put two settlers on the Galley out of Io. Even the plains hill SW of gold has a seafood resource.
Mackoti's GNP looks high, I'd guess from teching Writing.
YNL are doing really badly; that's great for us. I noticed we have a trade connection to them; let's gift them fish or something as a gesture.
