Turn 53
Played before work this morning - chance of 2t today!
One goblin advanced onto a floodplain and so I took a ~80% shot at him with a green warrior and won. There had been another goblin further to the south I was waiting to get odds on but he has wandered off in search of truffles in the fog.
The barb activity is definitely starting to increase. I like the distribution of deserts on my borders as they mean that I can generally wait for the barbs to wander over and then get decent odds.
In other news, we are out of anarchy, exploration is due in 2t after ending turn along with another worker.
I think I am going to put city 3 here:
It will need a monument 1st to get some of its better tiles in range, but overall I think it will be a decent site for the following reasons:
- Pig, copper and marble. Well - pig and copper are very good tiles to work.
- Defensive position on a hill and desert tiles on all 4 directions facing out towards the barbs. No doubt this city will attract a few barb attackers so I will be able to station a garrison and attack out at decent odds.
- Fresh water from the oasis
- Can work the gold if Epsom is doing something else.
- 6 river tiles
thats about it. The other sites I have marked all seem more filler than this one to me and they don't grab any strategic resources.
