Not directly, but I sent him this:

The trade routes would happen via road due to our borders touching if I plunk a NE city to hold down that corner of the empire.

Introducing: Ziggo
Ziggo is the perfect support city for my young empire. As previously stated, this city will grow like a rocket, hitting size 3 in 5 turns! It can borrow pigs or copper at need, and ensure the NNE cottage grows as fast as possible. In just 10 turns, Ziggo can choose from this menu:
- 8f surplus: pig/corn for fast whips**
- 10h base: copper/mine for military
- 9 gpt: whale, 2 cottages for squeezing techs out on time
**Hmm, I should probably adopt slavery soon...
Meanwhile Biohazard is building up steam as my economic engine:
Who dat making 11gpt at size THREE? (with trade route)
It'll be steadily increasing as cottages come online. Worker 4 completed at EOT, and won't rest until the flood plains are covered with thatched roofs. Note working the gold is a short-term profit but long-term drag. As cottages come online Biohazard will have to ignore the yellow metal if it wants to grow.
For now, it's doing good things behind the hood. My GNP increased 7 points with the gold and extra trade route from Ziggo. Of course, 5 of that got eaten by maintenance, but I'm getting used to it by now.
My crop yield is 30 at EOT, and still in 3rd place. It'll jump next turn when the wheat completes, but until my cap grows, I'm on the bottom of the heap:

You could just use worldbuilder to give each AI a second city in the correct location, then delete their capitals.
The real pain is changing the map dimensions, or your starting location on non-toroidal maps (on toroidal it only matters for aesthetical reasons). That typically requires restarting the sim from t0.
I have to run.

I did restart the sim from t0 after filling in some of Catwalk's details. That was a whle back, but some of the old sim versions are still hanging around.
Novice, my workers are named:
-Axle
-Battery
-Controller
-Driveshaft (new for t34)
my civ will be renamed the Ottobots soon here, going with a Robot Wars theme... not sure how to work your name in there, but i'll figure it out!

When you get to worker #22, skip V (for vise) and go directly to W.

Clever. My Ottobot is old and senile, and forgot its dentures at home.
I have to run.

A most excellent suggestion!
Also, i love the concept of this map. So much to balance, and very diferent from recent games. Of course, someone is going to get gangbaged, if it's me i'll change my tune. ;-)
i wish i could read the vets threads, i imagine its a stark difference in skill level. it would be cool if someone gathered data for both games to compare like turns. like a t50 summary: average x.xx cites, average y.yy workers and zzz gnp for vets vs same for greens... until wars break out this would be a fair comparison.

Too tired for an update, working through my "welcome to the rainy season" head congestion.
Short version:
-Researching writing at 0%
-Cull greetings en route
-no tech changes this turn

Big turn today, but first an investigation of Pegasus. The whipped his capital on t23 for a settler, t30 for a granary, and again on t36 (likely for another settler)! His capital is size 3 and has stacked whip unhappiness. I suspect he whipped a settler, because he does not yet have a 3rd city. He'll have to go worker next just to manage the happy cap.
The demos this turn look super sweet, with yours truly in the lead for all the important categories.
Oh, is population important? dang.
The big news decision however, is my tech decision:
Mission: The Oracle
- Up to 3 teams could be researching it right now.
- The image is wrong, I'll actually get Meditation at EOT t38, and Priesthood on t39 thanks to overflow.
- Micro will have to be perfect to knock it out in record time
The competitors:
Ad-Hoc just finished Bronze Working in 7 turns, so likely Priesthood is a 3t tech for him. He does have the huge size 5 capital, if he wanted to triple-whip it he could probably win. The turn he spends swapping to Slavery may save my bacon.
Catwalk researched the wheel on t33, but he still lacks pottery. If he is currently researching pottery, I'll be fine. If he's already working on Priesthood, I'm probably screwed. Again, he has a size 5 capital so he could steal it.
Cull is a problem. For one thing, he's completely nuts. He has neither boated his fish or pastured his pig! The two best tiles available from t0, he has decided not to use. However, C&D indicates he already has Myst and likely Meditation. Perhaps he's just interested in his Sumerian UB... but there's no telling with this guy. If he comes to the epiphany that Animal Husbandry might be important on this map, then I'll be fine. If he pops up with a powerless tech on t37, then I'm screwed... unless he gets distracted.
