Nope.
SevenSpirits Wrote:Map settings & options:
Quick speed
Emperor difficulty
Unrestricted leaders
No tech trading
No vassal states
No tribal villages
No random events
(Also note: barbarians are left ON.)
Leader/civ picking process:
Commodore will show each of us a screenshot of our starting position, and of the settings screen (for stuff like sea level and map size). Then we'll do a snake pick of leaders and civs with the following being banned:
* All FIN leaders
* Inca
* India
Other rules:
* No talking! So no emails, chats, gossip, in-game chat, naming cities / units with intent to communicate anything, or anything like that. But you can still offer trades in the trade screen. In fact you can try to communicate with this in an ad-hoc way if you feel so inclined. Just can't send any text with the trade offers.
* No building spies, war elephants, or nukes of any kind.
* You can't use great spies to scout, nor may you use their infiltrate ability.
* You can't use the blockade ability of your ships.
So we won't be using State Property in this game.
Which means we might want to build the Versailles in Ganymede or Titan as well.
I have to run.

After simming a bit I think Theology next is too costly. If we go for AP, I think we should do it during the Taj golden age.
Literature might be worth it though.

Looks like the save may come in after my bedtime today, so here are my thoughts:
Civic swap of course. Whip Forges in Triton, Titania, Charon. Charon will build a 1t missionary the following turn. Triton will build a 1t worker to ship east on Titania's galleon, using the mine/chop, and then a missionary the turn after that. Titania will overflow to complete the galleon; by working (just) the marble this turn for hammers it will be able to do so handily.
Whip Galleons in Iapetus (to carry 2WC + worker from the silver mine) and Oberon (to pick up stuff from by Europa).
Galleon #1 from Triton leaves with axe + chariot.
Whip settler in Io and bring a worker nearby. Next turn they'll board the galley. Turn after they unload inside Umbriel (worker roads that turn), turn after that they board the galleon from Titania which had gone NE-SE-SE-S. We load 2 workers 1 settler on that galley.
Europa max growth with 11h into a missionary; will finish it the following turn.
What do you think - research (finish) literature? I haven't tried it, I only ran a sim with Theology, but we certainly have the time for it. Alternately it would be a fine time to pick up archery if we want the abilty to build archers. Not convinced we care though - naval superiority makes WCs fine garrisons.

I think we should get Literature now. If we've overestimated our research capabilities, that just means we'll delay the t91 switch to Nationhood by a few turns.
You're logistics plans sound good - I can't really tell if there are any bugs in it until I've checked the save, and I prefer to wait for the actual save.
What are we whipping in Callisto?

Not sure about Callisto. I tried forge; it wasn't super inspiring. But we're already making a heavy settler round. We also want a caravel on that coast btw.
Note we want missionary in euro and Charon so we can't start any more since we have on in io too.

We changed civics from this:
To this.
37 extra civic upkeep. Ouch. Then we fire almost all our specialists, whip most of our cities, and set research to 0%.
On the other hand, we're in EXPANSION MODE.
And we've already spotted the new world, and it's already inhabited:
Lots of things being built this turn, as evidenced by the log messages above:
I have to run.

So I set research to 0% because I figured we didn't need Literature right away, and we could always change our mind. However, looking at Io's overflow from the settler whip, I think maybe I made a mistake.
If we want the Great Library here, we should just put this overflow from the settler into the wonder. Then we can finish the missionary, and then we can 4-whip the forge and overflow back to the Great Library. Io's production is decent but not great, so some whip overflow will help getting the wonder done.
If we decide this is what we should have done, we can research literature and build wealth here next turn, and proceed as outlined above.
Btw, is it possible to remove the missionary temporarily from the queue, preserving its hammers, and free up a missionary slot for somewhere else?
I have to run.

One final note: Luddicator and Yuri are doing some horsetrading.
