It seems we are roped into a specialist-focused game once again, though this time with different traits.
Here is some critical information for us - bulb lists (copied from here, of course):
Great Prophet:
Great Scientist:
Great Artist:
Great Merchant:
Great Engineer:

Opponent analysis:
HeliumGasp
A ferocious and squeaky pairing, I expect them to have strong chemistry together. I believe they chose Mao because it looked like he was an Expert Professional, but really that's Expansive/Protective. Protective sucks, so oops by them! Gaspar tends to get despondent and unpredictable when he's behind, so we'll have to pay close attention to these guys. More importantly this is the team that will totally crush us in the thread-spamming subgame - gaspar and his band of lurkers have a tendency to babble on. Speaking of which, their civ is pretty bad except for the Agri/Wheel start. But we should be aware of the possibility of professional bowmen.
Lewwyn
Yuris is dedlurking, and Lewwyn makes great, informative threads for lurkers, so this may actually mean something. Who knows! Lewwyn ACTUALLY made a choice, namely to replace CHA with IMP. I don't blame him! Justinian'S PIMP yo. His civ is Persia, which has a chariot that crushes archers and gets defensive bonuses. That might even force HeliumGasp to react.
Mackoti

OH SNAP! This follows the 23 signup thread in which he ominously claimed to have been waiting to play against novice/spacemanmf a long time. I guess it's too bad that the no diplo format means no trash talk. Or at least, you have to be pretty sneaky to get it in there! Mackoti is Roosevelt (a mediocre leader due to ORG) of Sumeria (the best civ in this game IMO). Will he build the Great Lighthouse again? WHO KNOWS. Mackoti has good, interesting (but not as good as ours) micro and scary midgame skills. He's probably the scariest competition but not as solidly as in 23.
PS take that Novice, you won't beat me in post count this time

Nor in pun count, it seems. SevenSpirits is in pun kibbitzing mode. (Answer: PUNK)
Lurkers: Is it NobleGas or HeliumGasp?
I have to run.

Noble Gaspar does sound very odd. How about HelGas?
If you don't mind I'll again dedlurk you.

Your start:
Caveats of "might change stuff" still apply. Settler has mobility, sentry, and is on a road (just the one tile). World size small, difficulty Prince.

I think we should come up with a new conflation every time we mention NoGrasp.

Thanks, Commodore.
Warrior NW, scout SW-SW, settler S-Settle, perhaps?
Research Agri->BW->AH?
Build worker->settler(partial)->warrior(partial)->size 2->settler->worker?
I have to run.
