No. You both asked for the same city, and we chose to give it to Mackoti. You can always go take it from him.

So you're saying you should get 10 turns of forced peace for free when we did not offer that?
I have to run.

Well the only reason you were involved at all was because you got the advantage of going after mackoti and seeing him make peace with you and then declare war on us. Getting screwed over on the diplo order just balances with getting the advantage in turn order.

Besides, you guys are going to win anyway. And trust me when I say we could have done much worse.

This is the most childish thing I've heard from an opponent since I was 12 years old. I expected better of you.

OK, let's move on to the next game then.

Let's see... more so than LYING TO ME for 2 MONTHS straight, pretending to be my friend while you stabbed me twice, despite being already way ahead, just so you could win with no competition?
More so that whining and complaining about your 25th city in a game where you now have twice as many cities and a full tech era advantage vs. anyone else?
But OK, maybe you're right. Maybe this is a big deal, that needs to be reloaded. So here's what we'll do. We'll reload, I'll gift you the city. Since that means we can't accept Mackoti's peace deal, we'll still be at war with him. And since we have no military now, we can't really stop him from capturing all our cities. So while you guys have 10 turns of enforced peace with both us of, mackoti gets all our cities and probably wins the game. Is that more of a fair deal for you?

OK, now that I'm thoroughly baffled I'm a bit less angry.
I see this as a case of secretly abusing a previously-unknown bug in bad faith. In-game considerations have nothing to do with it. I don't care about a city. I care about the integrity of the game and of its players. What is a fair deal, or what benefits us, is utterly secondary.

I don't see how it's a bug at all though? Just one of those quirks of playing one of those turn-based games. We agreed to give you the city but... "oops" it goes to mackoti instead. It would be the same as if we agreed to gift it to you while knowing that he was about to capture it the next turn, or agreed to gift you a resource that we knew was about to get pillaged.
