Pacal of the Indians: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Fast Worker

Also, now BTS is crashing whenever I try to reconnect to the game. Will have to figure that out later, but right now I'm too pissed at this stupid game to finish the rest of my turn.

I can't seem to connect either. I'll wait a bit and see if anything changes, but if that doesn't work either I'll post something in the tech thread.

Not sure how Hangzhou attack has gone so far, but that's cruel of the RNG to not damage the spear.

At least according to my simulations, it means the attack is off. I have two unpromoted knights, two HAs, and a LB against the fully healthy spear and two archers. My simulations suggest there really isn't any way to win that, so I'll just move the knights to protect my three workers. I really needed to just barely even scratch that spear and I would have had odds with the next night to kill it (if I even got it down to 3/4 with my first knight that had 30%+ odds the spear would have only had 8.9 strength after all the modifiers) and then it would have just been mop up duty. But of course I don't win even a single round of a 30% battle...

Speaker suggested a reload might be necessary, would that change the combat result?

No clue.

We get the reload! (hopefully the RNG doesn't choose to screw me on my great person this time around).

No one on Team #2 logged in, or even could log in to see your assault, so they have no idea what's coming. Of course, Luddite might play his turn this time and move an extra defender into the city. If Team #2 moves differently through Luddite and Lewwyn playing, I don't know if we are obligated to reproduce the attack - especially if there is an extra unit in the city that would make an attack inadvisable.

Then again, if Lewwyn and Luddite do play their turn, I believe it will change the combat result thanks to the changed variables on the map; someone would need to check me on this presumption though.

In the event that the turn rolls over without Luddite and Lewwyn playing, I believe we're obligated to reproduce our moves. Seems like the only fair thing to do. However, if this is not the case, attacking with a differently promoted knight could produce the desired result.

Luddite did just play. If the units in the city are the same I think I am obligated to make the same moves I did the first time again. If they aren't I feel no obligation. (Haven't logged in to know)

In regards to a different RNG result, unless we have different seed on reload checked for some reason, the only way it would be different is if Luddite did something that used the RNG. The only two things I can think of there would be combat or a GP birth. We'll see I guess and cross that bridge in regard to reload etiquette if we come to it.

He now has a pike in the city. I believe that clears us from having to repeat the attack.

Well that settles that...and is also would have been ridiculously lucky timing for him...

There are two archers, a pike and a spear in the city. Is building up more knights for an attack in a few turns a viable option? or is he just too well entrenched at this point.
