[SPOILERS] Novice and SevenSpirits play Suleiman of Korea

Since we'd held the save for over a minute I played and sent it on.

More C&D confirms that two opponents have had pottery for at least a few turns, so I'm almost certain that my guess at Mackoti's tech was correct. Still only fairly sure that he also, most recently, has fishing.

2-whipped the worker; next turn the overflow will complete a settler.

Settler completed, will head to sheep/horse/clams/whale site. It has two resources in its first ring so it seems like our best option.

Of course, riverside copper and corn would have been better first-ring resources. Thanks, Commodore. rolleye

Lewwyn settled his second city this turn - presumably said copper/corn site - and also grew his capital to size 4 and discovered The Wheel. So he will have Pottery soon, too. We will delay it forever.

I know people consider Seven and me to be strong players, but I really don't think we're favourites in this field, given the other players, their starting techs, and traits. (I'd consider us third after Gahelium and Lewwyn.) I'm sure we'll enjoy the challenge, though! If we can land the GLH things won't be looking too bad, although if Mackoti beats us to it we're truly screwed, of course.
I have to run.

I look forward to a good competition, and I love to see games where even the people far behind the leader continue play Realms Beyond style.

I don't believe that last part though.

Finally checked out your sandboxing - one comment I have is we should try hard to road to the west coast city by the time GLH finishes so we get the full +6 trade routes instead of only +2.

Isn't it a tad anachronistic to have an assembly line building the Great Lighthouse? You also gives the other players the clue that you are meditating on a domination victory, and that you are farming for future rock-n-roll. :neenernee

Hehe.

P.S. Every time I open the save or the sandbox I cry a little inside at our civ/leader. Dear players of pbem18: I'M SORRY, YOU HEAR ME? I'M SORRY! I'm almost ready to start another PBEM where we can choose EXP/AGR/WHEEL. God, what was I thinking, going for the combo most unlike pbem23's? I guess I thought the positions would be balanced (grrr).

Played turn 23, not really worth a screenshot. Gasnob discovered Bronze Working, we got Fishing. Settler is en route to found Blameless Yin.
I have to run.

Remember how I said we probably can't abuse caste as much as a SPI civ? Let's just get Mausoleum and Taj and have 36 turns of golden age; how does that sound?
