Adventure 50 - Rome is sacked.... eventually, and I won!

I played this one differently to others it would seem and actually tried to win the game too! In doing so I attacked Isabella, Huyana and Saladin before sacking Rome in 1735AD (T257):

I won Domination shortly afterwards in 1760AD (T262):

Thanks soooo, I really enjoyed this one and I'd certainly welcome some more BTS adventures - I'd forgotten how much fun the original game was after playing most Ffh for a while now.

Congratulations! - you actually won the game.
I already thought that nobody will make an attempt to win since it was definitely no easy task on this map. well done!
I did not even try to win, just to fulfill the given objective

Look at that gigantic blob of Celtic borders! yikes Very nice job, Square Leg.

Like Ronald, I did not even try for the general victory. It would have required a totally different approach, and a lot more play time -- something I was very short on over the holidays. sooooo's variant goal was perfect for a fast game.

I actually had some time to spare one evening..... errrr.... ok - afternoon and evening and did this in pretty much 1 sitting - I did remember to eat! Here are the Kills and Losses:

As you can see - the tactics were to build high xp horses mostly and smash stuff. I didn't use too much siege at all. My HE city was churning out 13xp horses from the gate which were really strong, especially as they were mostly 1t builds. The downside of this approach is obviously the number of horse based units I lost.... Quite a lot really...

Nice job with the win! You conquered most of the world only 335 years after I took just Rome. bang

Don't worry about sending the horses to their death. Over in SG5 we figured that's what they were good for. lol A win is a win, who cares about the body count!

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

Nice! Now I'm a little mad that I don't have my winning save, only one from 12 turns earlier - wonder how hard it would be to go on to win for me (certainly wasn't playing for the long term, but had my empire in a better place than the stagnation games....)
