[SPOILERS] Slowcheetah is Wang Kon of Inca

A small piece of sodium which lived in a testube fell in love with a Bunsen burner.
"Bunsen! my flame! I melt whenever I see you" said the sodium.
The bunsen burner replied :"It's just a phase you're going through".

That's right. The Incans like chemistry jokes. Deal with it:neenernee:

In all seriousness though welcome to my thread, it's nice to have you smile

Played the first turn
I moved the warrior and found no resources
I moved the scout and found no resources.
I moved the settler and found a plains hill sheep banghead

At least I have lots of rivers smile

Plans going forward:

1) Move scout back west, hope to find wet corn and an unjungled grassland gems.
2) If scout is successful move back to where I came from. If scout is unsuccesful I'll probably settle one south of my current location.
3) Avoid getting a bounty put on my head.
4) Kill anyone who gets a bounty put on my head.
5) Do laundry

The turn started out with me discovering wet corn at the starting region (I should have trusted the mapmaker). I decided on the spur of the moment that moving back was probably a waste of time, so I settled, a decision I now regret immensely However, all was not lost, because the RNG decided to intervene, electing to reward me with ANIMAL HUSBANDRY when my quecha popped the hut on the hill.

The hut pop revealed Horses, right at the turn 0 capital sitecry
I also have good access to ivory, because three elephants were revealed (it's just a pity I can't build WE).

I'm also currently winning the game lol

Plans going forward:
I'm going to bring my Quecha back home, go worker first and explore with my scout.

Research will be set to mining-BW, followed by a beeline to Maths.
I believe this route will maximise my early game production.
1) Loads of trees, chopping is vital.
2) Pottery is on the way to maths, and my Incan terraces save me the cost of a monument (or lib) for culture. Pottery is also crucial to my tech rate because it allows me to produce riverside financial cottages.
3) Loads of trees, lets make them worth more

The only possible detour will be for hunting and archery if I'm under serious attack, however chariots and Quechas should be able to deal with that.

In keeping with maximising production, my only early game builds will be settlers, workers, terraces and military (for scouting and fogbusting as well as defense purposes). I don't have any cheap buildings (walls do NOT count :P), so I can't really afford to spend the production on delicious wonders (besides i don't really need 'henge anyway).

My city naming scheme will be based arond my forum name, i.e. name an animal and then put an adjective which is the reverse of the animals
typical 'properties' in front.
My capital will be names ObeseAntelope, and I think I will probably name my second city GroundedFalcon. However, lurker suggestions are of course welcome smile

Well, at least you already know where you will put your second city!

You might find some hints for city naming from animals in heraldry. But I'd like to see ForgetfulElephant.

Cheers for that kjn. I particularly like the fact that house snail is on the list 'Deliberation and perserverence'. Of all the animals out there, why would you use a snail as your herald.

Forgetful elephant will definitely be used as a name for the city by the ivory. Provided someone doesn't pinkdot me.

Congrats on popping a tech, especially the one you need to develop that sheep tile. Good hut luck can make a big difference early on.

Snails in heraldry? Does seem an odd thing. Maybe you could use a SprintingSnail city name? lol

How about RaceSnail (saw that in the Never Ending Story book)?
