Swamplings wesnoth SG 3

OK, it took 5 turns to wrap up the scenario and get Clammie to the sign post. But most of it was just moving him along while most of our other units remained stationary and healed. Jkaen managed to finish off the saurians but he did not mention that all but one unit was injured, most of them very badly. yikes

We did face some additional wild animals attacking us from the north, and we lost the slow level 0 goblin who was farthest north. Hardly any of our units could risk fighting due to being deep in the red; fortunately our level 2 wolf was full strength (presumably from the level up). I killed two wolves and two bats, with Grurk getting one kill (2 XP from level up jive), our level 1 blood bat getting two kills, and another bat getting the last kill (also 2 XP from level up). I also got Misris several XP from safe ranged attacks, we really need to level her up again if we can manage it safely.

When Clammie reached the sign post, he asked Eeep where the green bottle of healing potion was...apparently it got forgotten. frown So our next scenario is on the same map, with Clammie by himself yikes and tasked to return to our original keep to search for the missing potion. He and Eeep talk before Eeep goes back off-screen to lead the tribe while Clammie is gone, and joke about how they just cleared the area so what could go wrong?

Yep, we really are in that much trouble. lol Good thing Clammie is level 2 now, but I suspect this will be quite dangerous. The former saurian castle does not have a keep, so we can not recruit any troops. At least not until we reach our original keep, and maybe not then. So Clammie is going to have to somehow survive the trip on his own.

Good luck!

Oh yes, should have mentioned the whole red lined troops thing lol

Was a bit tricky to win my fight given I had no full strength units to use, got pretty lucky with vampire bats sucking blood to avoid death against the king.

Who is up next, I think our order is all pretty shook around

Not a problem, Jkaen. You did a good job to finish off the saurian king. I just found myself with almost no units healthy enough to fight. Worse, Eeep had like 3 HP -- and he is required to survive. yikes Misris was a bit better with about 10 HP. And I did not want to lose our few decent units either. I had to sacrifice that slow level 0 goblin to slow down the attacking wolves, and buy a little time to get the full strength great wolf in position to handle the heavy lifting.

Do we ever get a healer (who doesn't get immediately taken away again) in this campaign? Having no way to heal but the "don't move for 2 HP/turn" method is a serious liability. frown

yes a loyal +2 hp per turn healer about 3/4 of the way through if I remeber.
a 3-4 senerio temp +4 or +8 healing

That senerio was just walking aside from the one lonely cuttlefish that attacked.

no deaths no advancement although damm poisin means I ended with 1 hp :neenernee

Next senerio we now are an assasin for the very idiot that tried to kill us. huh

we have set off to kill the arch duke wearing nothing but wrags found on the ground

Oops sorry didn't realize it was my turn. I'll play it in about 3 hours time.

So we're supposed to assassinate this archduke, but since the person telling us is the Knight Shining, we're supposed to warn him instead.

Here i go running finding him:

And then i found him, it turns out after warning him that he's an imposter for the duke. Servant of Knight Shining runs in, finds us both, and alerts the guards.

Run to the bottom, and you're severely outnumbered. Have fun!

Don't really understand what is going on. huh And apparently we have been turned into an orc assassin, and are level 1 again with no XP? banghead

OK, played...a whole bunch of turns. Roughly 30, I guess. But nothing really happened, this was the most boring level of Wesnoth I have ever played. Each turn you run from the guards, moving Clammie and this idiot he is with (who you have to keep alive, or I would have intentionally killed him). And then wait while the computer moves 25 or so guards who are never going to catch you anyway. Tedious, very very tedious. frown

Anyway, you run around endlessly, and eventually we escape into the sewers. We now need to move Clammie to the exit, which is only 8 tiles away. Except there is a maze of shallow water and deep water, so I am sure we will end up walking around half the map to get across those 8 hexes. banghead The exit is due east and marked with the crossed swords. We have a village right next to us, claim it for the income before you start exploring.

Good luck!
