[SPOILERS] Novice and SevenSpirits play Suleiman of Korea

There's an incredibly (well ok, mildly) annoying bug in worldbuilder, where lakeside farms lose their irrigation status if you do certain map edits (I think altering coastline triggers it). If you don't catch it, your sandbox will start deviating from reality. The tile yield for your farms will still be displayed correctly, but the extra food from irrigation will not be added to the city's food box.

So anyway, the sandbox I just posted is one food behind in Attach Mimes. Instead of going back and replaying stuff I opted to play on and convert the 6-food lakeside corn to a 7-food dry flood plain rice for a turn. So here's a corrected sandbox, played on until t34, according to our micro plan.

Time for an update. Founded Cruel Guitar this turn. Oracle and Pottery due eot38.

We're second to three cities, Lewwyn beat us by a number of turns. Demographics aren't looking too bad, somehow. If the early potters don't streak ahead in expansion soon, I'll hold some hope for us to stay competitive.

Vertical growth is still in vogue.

Oh, and how is this NOT Nospar's second city?

Hmm. Maybe they're gunning for the GLH? Would be awesome, but sounds unlikely.

I guess I should update our C&D.

Seven has been rightfully complaining that he doesn't know what I'm doing or planning to do. smile We hashed out the rough plan on chat, but we haven't typed up any micro details yet. So here's the detailed plan up to turn 40:

Turn 34:
Max sci on Wheel. D moves NW and farms for one turn. AM size 4, work plains hill mine, fp, fp, cows. CG works corn.

Turn 35:
D mines copper. AM works fp, fp, cows and grasshill mine, gets to 11/18 food and 51/100 hammers.

Turn 36:
Cruel Guitar size 2, work corn+fp. AM works plains hill mine, grasshill mine, fp, cows. BY size 4, completed work boat, starts settler, works plains hill mine, horse, sheep, clams. Work boat explores and ends up at Dominate It's clams t41. Max tax on Pottery. B roads.

Turn 37:
Max sci on Pottery. A moves NW to chop forest. CG works corn+copper. C moves to corn and roads. AM works 2xFP, Cows, Plains hill mine, grows in 1 and brings Oracle to 85/100.

Turn 38:
CG size 3, works corn+fp+copper. D roads copper. AM size 5, works 3 mines, FP, Cows to get Oracle to 100/100. B moves SE and roads.

Turn 39:
AM oracle->worker. Pottery->Metal Casting->Sailing (max tax). BY settler->forge, work sheep, clams, horse, mine. Settler waits for B to complete road, then moves NW-NE-NE towards Dominate It spot. C moves to cows and roads. CG works copper, fp, mine, completes monument. AM works fp, corn, cows and other two mines to get worker to 18/40.

Turn 40:
BY works sheep, clams, horse, grass forest, gets to 10/18 food and 40/80 hammers. D moves SE-SE and roads, and B moves nw-nw and roads, to hook up CG. CG monument->granary, works corn, fp, copper. AM whips worker, works fp, cows, grasshill mine.

----

And some rough details of the continuation:

Turn 41: BY whips forge, works sheep+clams to grow in 1. Found Dominate It, net and work clams. C moves NE and roads, to hook up DI.

Turn 42: Work sheep, clams, engineer in BY, start Colossus.

Turn 52: Complete Colossus and high-odds GE in BY at eot.

Turn 53: Rush Pyramids in BY - remember to have Masonry researched.

Got a forest growth at Attach Mimes. That is pure win, since the tile was already roaded.

No new cities, Mackoti and Gaspum are trailing in crop yield (according to graphs) and are at cities sized 5 and 3, I think.

Yay forest growth! I can't remember the last time I saw one grow onto a road let alone with only one forest adjacent to it.

Since I haven't posted this in the thread yet let me do that: I adore your plan, it's fantastic.

Mackoti founded his third city this turn. He's at 5,2,1, Lewwyn's at 5,3,2, and Galium's at 5,3 it seems. We're at 4,4,2.

Erp! You're in version i, not j! I should know better than to do the "I" version, I work with software. Nothing huge is different, I could tell because I moved the forest to N of the WB though. You guys are short a desert incense, though, I'm sorry for that. alright
