Why did they pick Irelia again against Shyvana when in the first game they saw it didn't work, I don't know.
The Rain Man could have pulled off the Yorick Mori to win this series, but noooooooo...
Also, M5 AlexIch's words after the game: "I think Mordekaiser is top one hero in the game".

Because shyvana is obviously a bad hero due to having no CC

I really don't get why the commentators were going on and on about not banning shyvana. It's what he did as top lane that made her powerful, it had nothing to do with actually being shyvana other then the fact that she's a typical bruiser. All the teams kept saying that to the commentators, and they just kept ignoring it.

Well, if a team has used Shyv all the time, and she keeps giving them good results, do you:
a) Think that you're better than all the other teams and play with her again
b) Ban her?
I think i would ban her, personally. Why risk it?

C) Don't pick Irelia after it's been proven in the first game to be a bad idea.
TSM needed someone that would force Shyvana to stick to her lane. Someone like Yorick, or even Teemo. Diabolo Trondomoro brought good results in regards to that during Game 2.
Irelia is good at last hitting under turret. This is just according to M5's keikaku - they want Irelia under turret.

I just found

today. I really like the quick overview guide approach by pro players (and not by someone who claims "it's working really well at 1300 soloQ").

Hmmm, Galio-Soraka seems like it's a pretty strong lane... you run need to run an ad top or mid, have a Tanky dps jungler, with something mid.
Galio gets hassas proof from bulwark, Soraka's passive, heal and armor buff, Soraka's passive also makes Galio hurt more, Galio gets no mana issues... Pretty gank safe from all the cc.
But yep, the meta.
Just my thoughts on this.
The weakness is the solo ad of course.

There are more "metas" where that came from, mostly because we aren't at a skill level where Galio/Soraka isn't an option.
For instance, me and Piotr like Karthus/Soraka and it works because Piotr was born with Karthus genes.
Weakness being "solo AD"? Not sure about it, Graves and Corki are good picks for top lane and can beat other good picks, Udyr comes to mind because melee vs ranged.

I actually want to try soraka/ryze with max infuse and harrass/zone all day. It should be more viable when lategame rolls around too than Karthus/Galio, because Ryze scales more with farming than levels when compared to other mages anyway, and has a lot less power concentrated in his ultimate, so doesn't lose as much from duo laning.
