No need to wait. In order to build the HE you simply need to have had a level 4 unit at some point. It doesn't need to still be alive.

30 % odds to kill...plus 100% for the GG extra exp promo....hurts. That unit is going to be very well promoted.

AFAIK, my galleys are not visible to team asm and co. (they don't currently have Optics) but in any event, I'm currently forking the cities highlighted in the above screenshots.

The only question in my mind is : Who attacked Pallitputura in order to damage it's current top defender.

In any event, if Pal is still around when I get my next turn as Mongolia, and it doesn't get some serious reinforcements then I'll burn it to the ground.

Wait a minute... he used a GG unit to attack at <30% odds? That seems very odd. Why would you intentionally risk losing one of your best units with those odds?

Yeah, if they don't have Optics they can't currently see your Galley stack, and more to the point they can't build Caravels. Watch out that cultural pressure on one of the tiles along the border doesn't risk it being flipped though, or else visibility will be gained.

Could it be that it was a damaged unit from somewhere else that retreated to the city to heal? Just a thought anyway.
