Great job!
Played another turn. We should move the worker into a forest next turn so he can chop for the settler.
I took the woodsman I promo for our warrior, he'll need 2t to heal.
Our GNP is still pretty good compared to others.
I think we should not worry to much about an attack by sunrise (yet). His WC won't cross those jungled hills fast, if we have a good sentry, we can see them coming from a long way.

And another turn. Screwed up the worker move, sorry.
BW will be finished next turn. I suggest The Wheel (6t) or Mysticism next. Mysticism to get a monument in our second city so we can get border pops and get horses connected for better units then warriors.
IW is 20t and can wait untill after Pottery, I think, since we do want to leverage our Financial trait.
What do you guys think? The game will be getting more interesting pretty soon now.

Bronze Working is in. Do we have copper?
Decided to go Wheel next, but feel free to change that ot Mysticism or even IW/Archery...

And another turn. (Is anyone reading this? )
First, most noteworthy, Lewwyn build Stonehenge:
He had the biggest score jump on civstats, so it should be him.
Second point of this turn is that we found Sunrise's borders:
Worker started chopping. The chop will finish the settler, so the settler and our MP warrior can start moving towards the new city site (we need consensus on that one).
Then we'll build another MP for our capital and chop out a second worker. Swapping to slavery after or before the second worker?
After Wheel we must choose between Mysticism (monumental border pops), Pottery (cottages), Archery (defense, Sunrise is close) or IW (Iron and jungle chops).

Swap to Slavery while the settler is moving. That way we lose no turns for the new city. Also we can then whip a warrior if necessary for protection - though I really doubt anyone will come. Quite honestly, that land is so bad, that sunrise won't send troops through that jungle just to get it. Even if he doesn't know what our capital looks like (though he should have the graphs soon), he at least knows that there is like 10x10 tiles of jungle between us. No way one would cross that - especially if he has gold next to his borders.
Anyhow, for tech, I'd say go for IW. Pottery is useless as there is nearly no non-jungle tile around, so not much hope for cottages. Archery as explained above I doubt will be necessary. Leaves Myst or IW. And IW certainly wins that one imo, as there are no resources (except for the horse we don't need as nobody will attack us) we would need to get with a border pop

IW takes centuries to complete (about 20t), while Pottery takes about 8t and we can build 3 riverside cottages at Nero to give us finiancial bonus right out of the gate. With cottages, we can tech IW faster. Besides, I don't see us settling a third city before both IW and Pottery are done. Maybe even Myst. I think it would be nice to have monuments available, since we have no way to get border pops otherwise before Libraries...
I do agree on the fact that anyone willing to attack us for our land is really
My tech suggestion would be: Wheel - Myst - Pottery - IW
Tatan?

Well, the way I see it, at this point in order to stay competitive in any sense of the word we need to run some major risks. I vote ignore Archery--if Sunrise comes at us with WCs, a few dinky little archers are not going to do any good whatsoever (especially since Nero is not on a hill). Besides, if we play conservatively at this point, we will lose regardless.
Pottery on the other hand I think is pretty crucial; while we have hardly any cottageable tiles in the land around us, the capital has 8 good grassland spots. We could cottage just about everything around the capital right now, and by the time we reach Civil Service they'll be worth a ton.
Mysticism I am less sure about; we probably want our third city to grab Iron, right? Delaying that city for 6 (or whatever) more turns seems sub-optimal to me, especially if we go for Pottery. We should wait until after IW for Mysticism (or Writing ) IMO.
My vote: Wheel -> Pottery -> Iron Working -> ???

I think we should go with Tatan's option.
Wheel - Pottery - IW and then go Writing for Libraries/culture.
Third city should get us Iron, but I'd really like to get better units meaning at least Chariots if we can somehow connect horses. Don't feel safe with only warriors even if our land is kind of awfull...
BTW, I really dislike all the talk in the player thread. Making deals in an AW, CTON (outside the thread) game... play another game then, please!

Romulus continued probing towards Sunrise...
I see three major options for Romulus' movement:
1) Back off and go around Sunrise
2) Just get close enough for visibility on his city, and then leave
3) Choke
I think I would prefer to keep Romulus alive so we can scout further afield, but if there is a good opportunity for a choke we would be foolish to pass it up...

Yeah, personally I find it annoying, but the set-up did stipulate that it was allowed. To me it seems like only a handful of teams are engaging in actual serious diplomacy, the rest are staying silent or trash-talking. Catwalk and Antisocialmunky seem to be the worst offenders (not LP, go figure).
NINJA-EDIT: Oh, also I realized that the warrior guarding our cap was not named! I continued the theme of early Romans and named him Aeneas.

Great job, Tatan!
I suggest we move Romulus northward around Sunrise's capital and then move further east along the coast.
