I fear Speaker so I'm just trying to do what the sign says wink
It's just that every time I look at your cities, they are building culture. So I figured a sign written in all caps was necessary. smile

The most recent map of the East (T135: just after the razing of Maurice Levy), seems to suggest a good production center toward the edge of the culture - wet rice, wheat that needs one surplus farm to irrigate, lotza hills.

Is settling that location an opportunity that should be jumped at immediately (which is the play I would make against an AI opponent), or is it wiser/more certain to leave that area open and enjoy the safety buffer?

It would seem that Rome is gearing up to attack Sunrise. They will probably move in next turn.

I've been wanting to post an update of my own, but working 13 hour days hasn't left me with much free time and I haven't really had the posterity. So I guess I'll spill the beans that Sullla has been maintaining a running commentary on his website, if anyone would like to follow our team along.

He is really not interested in posting at RB at the moment, and I would appreciate it if this thread stayed drama free. If you want to get an update, check out his page. If not, no big deal. If anyone want to have a legitimate discussion about the game, that's cool. I'd really appreciate if we avoid the "zomg why is Sullla doing this and not posting on RB rabble rabble rabble." Thanks.

Actually, I have a meta-ish question - feel free to ignore if its beyond the scope of stuff you want to talk about but I promise its drama-free...

Is the way this game has played out typical of these types of games? This is is the first game of its sort that I've had any exposure to and so I'm curious as to what the usual time horizon (in terms of turns) it is for the wheat to separate from the chaff so to speak? Obviously this game has been a two-horse race for some time (as Sulla's noted in his updates) - would this be the usual separation point or is it mostly due to the missed turn issues from T4 and the... whatever it is that's going on with T2?
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
