Fook no.

OTOH, I did spend 20 years of my life living in the Ottawa valley....

Lord Parkin Wrote:Wait a minute... he used a GG unit to attack at <30% odds? That seems very odd. Why would you intentionally risk losing one of your best units with those odds?

Damnfino...but it did work out for them.

Quote:Yeah, if they don't have Optics they can't currently see your Galley stack, and more to the point they can't build Caravels. Watch out that cultural pressure on one of the tiles along the border doesn't risk it being flipped though, or else visibility will be gained.

AFAIKT from in game, I'm ahead in the cultch war. :D

Quote:Could it be that it was a damaged unit from somewhere else that retreated to the city to heal? Just a thought anyway.

Heh, good luck. wink

lol

thanks for the well wishes. I'm pretty certain at this point that the damaged units were in the city as of last turn. But in any event, I think I can manage an opportunistic strike somewhere. wink

Lost a city and my expiditionary force....a Black Day for Team Bring it. frown

But we're looking solid in the East (until someone shows up with Rifles and Cavalry, which shouldn't be too long. wink )

Mongolian and Indian units are moving Westwards in support of Equestria, but it'll be a couple of turns before they arrive.

The one bright spot at the moment is that Team 3's expiditionary force is currently heavily damaged and will take a couple of turns to become combat ready again.

I don't like our chances for retaking the Equestrian city we lost, but we should be able to limit our losses on that front to one city (I hope).

we've got hostiles in our Westlands...who just teched Steel.

Ohfuck.

Hopefully those Cannons are heading towards Team 1. wink

In other news....the RNG is taking it's revenge.

India sent a pike vs a Speaker stack of 1 curriaser/1 knight/2 workers at 67% odds...and won jive....followed by a knight on knight fight at 50% odds...lost that one, but set up a 95% fight. Which I lost..

Finished off the damned knight with an xbow...who will be dead next turn.

Counting the dead Team 1 workers, it's about a dead heat in terms of lost hammers.

An exchange that we can't really afford given how far back we are in terms of hammers/gnp.

OTOH, we ain't gonna win this sucker no matter what we do, so might as well cause some damage while we still can. hammer
