RBP7 [SPOILERS] - The Chronicles of Nyania

Well, this is interesting. TT has what appears to be the settler for his third city out, and it seems he's intent on aggressively pushing back at ASM. (Moved the Scout to safety after taking this screenshot, by the way.)

Well, at least good to see he's heading in the opposite direction from us. Looks like he's going to settle the Pigs/oasis/flood plains site... guess we'll see.

Any bets what tile he'll settle on? 1SE of the Pigs seems safer and more logical, but then 1S of the Pigs competes for both the Gold resources. (Not that they'd be won by Googly anytime soon, given that ASM is Creative too.) Or perhaps TT will perplex us with a completely unanticipated move... at this stage I wouldn't be too surprised.

He's going for The Wheel after finishing Hunting, by the way. Decent move, not so great for us.

Well if they're going to expend production on culture wars there, all the more good news for you. smile

Indeed. Let's hope they waste plenty of resources on one another before we come onto the scene. smile

Borders expanded at the capital this turn, incidentally. Nothing of interest revealed, but at least it's nice to have a bit more visibility for earlier warning of any potentially invading rival civs or barbarians.

With TT this turn it was a mix of the apparently sinister and the grossly incompetent.

The apparently sinister: After making sure to play dead last every turn for the last 3 turns, this turn TT made sure to log in as soon as possible - the one turn where he could double move poor Rainbow Dash. The bastard! frown

The grossly incompetent: After apparently settling on researching the sensible technology of The Wheel, TT decided at the last minute that it would be far better to switch back to researching Meditation. When Buddhism was already founded two turns ago. duh

By the way, checking Civstats - Buddhism was founded by either Lewwyn or Pindicator. Will have to investigate more closely to figure out which one. I'm guessing Lewwyn though, as he started with Mysticism and Pindicator didn't.

On the home front, we finished Mysticism and started on a Stele in our southern city, I'm on a Boat!

Perhaps appropriately, Fishing is the next target, followed by Sailing. wink

By the way, TT settled his third city this turn, so it almost certainly has to be at the spot 1SE of the Pigs marked above or within 1 tile of it.

Also - we have a new Warrior down at our southern city, I'm on a Boat! Any thoughts on a name for him?

The news this turn - we've found HitAnyKey's borders. Apparently he's our closest neighbour to the south.

This is clearly not his capital city, as the borders haven't expanded at all. However, his capital is presumably somewhere nearby.

Not bad land he's got, judging from the small amount we've revealed so far. I certainly wouldn't turn down a Banana-Rice-Gem spot anyway.
