Uca, you're too funny. We need to game together more - we missed you in LoL. I dunno if you've got plans already for another event, but one idea that's been knocking around my mind is to help everyone get their Protector titles before GWEN (and GW2) hits us. This could be a long-running thing - we could pick a different mission each week (2 weeks?), and rotate in and out, helping allies and PuGs get the bonus.

Ditto what WB said. Either that or we scare off anyone without a thick skin. lol Those who stay have been abused so much by us they're pretty much inured to anything.

By the by, WB, thanks for getting the RB page looking so spiffy on the GWW! Great job! thumbsup

As long as we're being blunt... I don't buy that. The very first thing you did (publicly, that is) when you got back in the ZoS alliance was to start throwing events again. That says to me, and to anyone else that doesn't know what's going on inside your head, that you're perfectly willing to host/throw events without aid. Had you instead said something more along the lines of "Hey, where's that committee thing? I've got some ideas for events." or even "Where's that $%&@ committee? Uca wants fun stuff!" I might be more inclined to believe you. As long as people see someone else willing to do the work for them, they're not going to care about changing things to a point where they might have to do some work themselves. That's the type of environment you promoted and that's exactly why this version of the committee will fail.

*sadface* Wyrm. The reason I immediately did that (and buy it or not, it's true) was because I felt like shit for the way Arch was admitted into the alliance and wanted to prove to people that letting *me* (Because afaik, I was the main concern) back in was to their benefit. Of course after getting onto the alliance by the skin of my teeth (there was behind the scenes talk of "We'd allow Arch without Uca," for the record) I didn't want to do *anything* but be a positive force. And since this issue has, (clearly) some controversy, I didn't go right at that. I wanted something to bring us together, like an event. Not drive us apart, like another disagreement. I'd done events on my own in the past and had no big troubles, so one or two more before the committee was brought up by someone else wasn't so bad, in my mind. If I somehow screwed the entire success of the alliance committee... Sorry?

That being said, the past two events I *did* receive an asston of help on. Urgoz was mostly funded by RB and the banner was mostly done by ZoS. UW/FoW I got like 20k in donations, and the banner sucked ass. So it took like... 5 minutes? I spent very little time on those events. Actually, I didn't really advertise it, but I only did UW/FoW because I was specifically asked to. "Someone" said, "Ya know how we always have problems getting events together for UW/FoW? Well, next weekend may be a good plan..." And then I didn't hear about it again. And poof! Weekend event. I had to rush a "fake" event so no one knew it was *actually* FoW/UW we were planning and then I had to do Urgoz to make up for those who wanted to *actually* go to Urgoz. And I haven't done jack since. lol

Aaanyhoo. Yeah, I'm sorry I missed out on the LoL, too. A few weeks off and then my needy hubby taking up a lot of those nights put me too far behind to catch up. Honestly, I only play a few times a week now. (And considering I used to play GW from wake up to bedtime, HUGE change! :P) Those are awesome ideas, though Hawk. The best part about that is there is no need for "funding" because the reward *is* the event. Which is sexy. And it keeps going week after week. Which is even sexier.

Warblade... I have to be honest. I thought GWW meant Guild Wars Weekends. huh I'm pretty clueless on those pages. I didn't know Arch had one, and had no idea Hells, (who isn't really Arch's biggest fan, atm) made it. So, if you could explain what's going on to me as if I were a toddler just barely speaking English... I'd be very very grateful! smile
Edit: Nevermind! I figured it out and fixeded it. Thanks for mentioning it; last thing we need is deleted because we sound greedy for recruits, lol.
Fire good.

...I don't even listen to Alliance chat. I mean that literally - I leave it turned off. I have absolutely no idea what's going on, and quite frankly couldn't care less. Although, I am curious about the background (particularly on you) for the sake of curiosity. Mayhap someone will be kind enough to clue me in, if only so I can shake my head and wash my hands of the whole thing. :P

If the Alliance wants to get more involved with setting up events and whatnot, I'm all for that. That's exactly what an Alliance should be about, IMHO. So far, I haven't seen jack in that vein (although I've been absent from GW for... most of the game's history wink), so my concerns with the Alliance are nill. Should there be more involvement, I might start to care, but as it stands now, the only thing it offers me is the potential for more PvP (and meeting new people along the way).

Besides, I don't get involved in politics. Can't stand all the BS. wink

As far as I can remember, most of the controversy (aka legitimate concerns) that mattered was that Arch has (had?) a member that applied to ZoS and was rejected because he used obscenities in his name and some other stuff along those lines. As for the controversy over you, well, I couldn't help but laugh at how immature that got. If you felt you had to do something to prove that you would be a positive asset then you were mistaken, at least as far as I'm concerned.

The original committee that I proposed and the one that has been re-proposed will never pan out or work. At all. There's nothing anyone can do about that. It's been dragged around and cut down so much that there's virtually nothing left of it other than being a group of people with something to add to their ZoS forum sig. If people are serious about having some sort of committee/council/whatever then the slate needs to be wiped clear and something new needs to be decided on and ironed out, without the aid of people that cry wolf (aka not done publicly on forums).
