Not much of a story really, and it was kind of told already. He left his capital unguarded because he apparently expected to complete a unit when he pressed "Enter", forgetting that this is Pitboss and not PBEM. Not much else to tell.

I haven't received a response on a request for a ded-lurker/teammate/replacement. I'd like to prevent holding up the game because on weekends I am going to be decidedly unavailable to play these turns, being out of town house hunting. In my PBEM game my ded-lurker is handling the weekend turns but he can't sub for me here, since he can't connect to a pitboss server from his campus network.

If no one wants to play Mao of Native America, though, I totally understand.

Can anyone help me find a replacement, or at the least a weekend sub player for the next few...weeks / the next month? I'm moving out of state and am driving a long way every weekend to look for a house to buy / spend time with my family while I'm with them during the weekend (my family has moved down without me already. My wife has taken a job where we're moving, hence my weekend housing search when I'm off from my job). I won't have time to play Civ and don't want to hold the turns or simply not play them and leave a ghost town civilization waiting to be invaded by my lucky neighbors every weekend. AI takeover is a horrible option because it's effectively the same as not playing the turns, given who my neighbors are.

I'll keep spamming about this everywhere relevant until someone relieves me.

The alternative is for me to shout to all my neighbors, "COME AT ME BRO!", but that would also be unbalancing and unfair to everyone who isn't near me and so wouldn't be able to stake a claim to my land. (If that happens and my more civilized neighbors come in and run me off my own land, would it be ironic that I'm the Native Americans?)

PMed Mist my login to end my turn. I have no unit moves left to do (did it yesterday) so does that mean I have to wait 2 hours on the next turn if he can't end turn for me?

You'd need to wait 2 hours to play regardless of who plays your turn.
