Our warrior, as you can see, just wants to keep on wandering through the jungle in search of El Dorado or something. He's kind of insane, we think he ate a little too much of the local plant life.

I can understand wanting to make your last stand and cause as much pain to your enemies as possible by forcing them to lose multiple units trying to take your last city. But, can you try to log in earlier during the turns, and/or ask the lurkers to log in to end your turn if you haven't done so? The turn would have flipped a couple hours ago if someone had logged in to end your turn earlier in the turn. If all you are doing is fortifying units in that city as a last stand, then it doesn't really matter if someone else logs in to end the turn for you.

Speaking of ending turns...I've received exactly one response from anyone between RB and CFC about subbing or taking over my team and have not had a followup from that poster regarding his intentions or availability for this game. I'm leaving town tomorrow afternoon and will be hard pressed to play any turns over the weekend if I don't have one to play tomorrow morning.

I've checked on the only other listed RB sub/replacement for this game, he's not available to play for me.

I don't want to hold up the game, and I certainly don't see any reason to miss turns with Mack/Seven as my new eastern neighbor. I'm sure they'd love to kill me eventually but I don't think they'd find a stationary enemy very hard to kill if I started missing turns, but let's not tempt them anyway, shall we?

Mist, I'll PM you my civ's password (I think I may have already done that but just in case). I'll leave signs posted everywhere in game for what's supposed to happen if you're able to play. If not, I don't want to ask for a pause because that isn't reasonable. There really should be someone unspoiled enough to follow posted directions, move a few units, and press enter. Thanks in advance if anyone can get someone lined up for weekend pinch hitting duty.

Soooo I spoke to Yuri, and I might have a solution. I've been dedlurking him, but Persia's not called Gotland just because Yuri has the world's sheep supply cornered. Yuri's seen neither hide nor hair of any of you or your neighbors land, I think, unless said neighbors are members of the great sheep nation. If the globals think it's reasonable, and if nobody else objects, I'm willing to step in and sub.
