I agree, there seems to be a lot of game left! It will be interesting to see if this morning's defeat will change Team1's approach. From the writeups, i doubt it - infantry for the win! Do they decide to hit team 1 more and give team 2 time to persue the unforeseen culture? Will they pull back and hit team 2 and give time for team 3 to catch up (if that's possible)?

I think they'll keep the pressure on 3 and hopefully 2 will be able to survive long enough to keep it close

Infantry not good enough for a win.

Depends on what your opponents have. If you can reach infantry before your rivals get rifles....

Not sure that will happen here, but the advantages of rifles and cavalry first, then Steam Power and levees (which is going to be incredible for Sullla's capital) first, followed by factories and infantry first...ouch. It may not guarantee a victory, especially if the culture attempt is not detected in time. But attacking team 1 is going to be very difficult, and even defending is going to be tough.

All in all, while early infantry are definitely really powerful, they're not game-winning.

I don't believe that Sulla can get a levee in his cap. His city isn't on the river - it's on the lake.

Did I miss an update from Sulla et el on their lost battle? Or do they only provide positive news?

Sullla's doing a bunch of stuff with LoL at the moment, especially with IEM going on, so he might be just be too busy.

it turns out all of the Team 1 reporters were embedded with units that were wiped out in the assaults on Team 3.

To be fair team 1 made no mistakes in the attack. All that would left to talk about is how they got screwed over by the RNG. That would not be intersting to write or read about. angry

Au contrare.... As they say in France. I rather suspect that had Team1 been triumphant there might be just a little bit of analysis and chest beating to read. Oh well, just an observation as these updates are valuable for some of us.
