Initial thoughts:
I'm liking city #2 on the plains hill S of the clams. Should get up and running even faster with the 2H plant and a clams already set up. Of course, this could change depending on what else is in the fog. There's another good city site 3E of the capital for a cottage city. Not bad to see 2 decent spots on the first turn.

Agreed! For a randomly generated map, we've gotta be pretty damn ecstatic so far.
Don't forget to switch to working the floodplain once the borders pop for the extra commerce. I know it's obvious and you would have done it anyway, but I get a warm, fuzzy feeling inside knowing that i've said it

They've got 5 food, 2 prod, and a 17 GNP, which means that they (likely) settled on a plains hill or other 2-hammer tile, and are working a 3/0/1 tile, teching something in the first row (or perhaps just haven't selected anything).
They have 6 land tiles in their BFC, so likely coastal and 8 health / 5 happy. Probably not really worth analyzing that, though we could probably figure some stuff out there like how many forests they have, if it would give us any useful information, which it probably would not
this is an insane ammount of intel this early - is this all from the demo screen "Rival Best" category as they happened to be the first to settle?

Oh this isn't anything. You can really get a LOT of information, though it does take a lot of time / effort, and it's a little trickier in a game with this many people.

It looks like Azza also ended turn without settling. It can make sense, especially if you're moving to a plains hill, since th at will speed your worker up 3t (or 2t accounting for your lost turn)

Yuri has not logged in yet, and dazed Parkined the turn (settled, likely played all his moves, but did not end turn )

That will slow down the worker though, right? Right now we've got 1 food and 3 hammers (+1 for the RB Mod EXP bonus), so 5 f-h/t.
If we swap to the FP, then that will be 3 food and 1 hammer and we won't get the bonus, so only 4 f-h/t.

And just like that, Yuri settled, bringing average land to 4K. That means he settled with 5 land tiles.
