I had time to look a litle bit on the land which everyone of us got from Commodore.
I start to think Commodore realy hates me(well but he hates Seven too), the land which i got its way worse than Seven's(same thing happeened in Pbem 23 wher they got not less then more 5 riverside tiles) , here at only 3(yeah i would enjoyed to have one more riverside grassland and 2 more other type that ones would have been near towns now if not towns.Yuo know for a buro capito this realy maters and in the begging its a realy big diference between working 2f,2g tile and 2f 1g(not realy worth) or working a mine at 1,3,1 or at 1,3,0.
Second from the info which i have Seven and Gaspar both got riverside capitol which its a big thing, second city gets automaticaly conected whitout need of a road.
Why i hate this becasue same hapenned with the map in pbem 23 at first look its not a big thing but having a strong second city closer and having more riverside tiles for capitol or even fresh water that counts alot if the players skill its in same range( and most people belive Seven and Novice are better so they shoud get the worst start
)
But enough with the rant.Do i plan to win this of course.
Lets do a litle of oponents review in the reverse order of playing.
4.Lewwyn: in my opinion he had the best leader, and the best civ, why:spiritual=expansiv for me and imperialist way beter tha protectiv, and he had the unit UU actualy worth something(at some poit I decided to rush some of his islands with some crosbows but i remebered well if he dry whips a
immortal well my odds became very low).Where do i belive he went wrong:first getting all religiosu staff before curency, after that ignoring for so long time courthoses, i know are expensive but whit org religion its a 3 pop whip and saves loads of gold.Just an example here:GLh did gave me for last 50 turns near 45 comerce/turn, and very fast courthouse are saving me for last 40 turns medium like 70/turn ang gowing(now its near 100) so yeah whip courthouse merciless.
Spiritual gives alot of flexibility i couldnt get my religion used or organizat religion for a long time but for him was very easy .AS a concluzion i would play form lewwyn pozition any time, and perhaps then people would have said well he got the best leader, the trick ist in beggining to keep the new cities smallaer(i am talking about cities after city 5) and to work special tiles and food and whip the courthose and the forges and after grow.
3.Gaspar.I realy dont like theyrs leader,they have just one trait very powefull indeed but i dont consider stronger that Spritual.I dont know what they realy played beside a great wall and first GP beeing a spy, wow no academy no nothing, this is not good playand again same think no courthose,well theyr loose.
2-1.Seven played a very strong game using very good his traits, he got liberalism under my noose but just becasue i decided to take a more militaristic route this time.Now its theyr time the pure specialist economy at theyr prime era.Cheap seons, fast oxford but all this will end and not having a havily cottaged capital will make a diference.
They didnt builded to many couthose too so
for them there too.And they already got alot of great people so when i will be in golden age and using pacifism i will definetly catch up on those.About the leader i consider they got a better leader than me, why:with all doublers on the map and plenty of those the value of Industrious not high.
1-2. Mackoti.What can i say about him, he is a great guy and played a good game stayed small for a very long time(if you check the score i was last is score for2/3 of the time), why becasue i whiped hard:courthoses, forge, libraries, an aqueduct(ouch 3 pop there) grocers markest, yes i have the most infrastructure in place.Right now i am at war with ludite trying to get some land which i lost becasue i believed infrastructure its important, will see how that pays off.
2.
And third , lets talk about second city posibilty which were way greater for them.
