Cool. But the point is you shouldn't have to ask the admin of the server and another player to do that and he still would have logged in when you did and then it would have just been interleaved contention like in gamespy, atleast that comes down to moving faster rather than having the most time on your hands.
As I said, I'm not playing this game any longer anyway. Why should I play a game that's doomed in every single way against LP who can clearly out play me by being able to out initiative me with all the time in the world? That is ridiculous.
How should people be able to end turn with impunity with an army in a position that is 100% toast in a simuturn because you can't catch them? Yes I realize that 2 chariots don't matter but the amount of effort expended on this game for me to achieve parity in potential is mind boggling.

Sigh. Read aloud, LP: "Eye yam sofa king tire ring toupe lay wit". Be that as it is, LP is LP, it's kind of expected. It takes a certain kind of person to sign up for a casual game and then camp on the timer, but if you are that way, so it is. Just assume that LP is playing a third trait "powergaming", which gives doubled moves to all units and roll with it. Maybe play a game or two of FFH as something dwarfy on a tiny map with the Hippus and Kurios.

That's why I'm quitting. I signed up for a casual game with 100% perfect diplo. Not the same old RB diplo crap and legalism. However it is. And it is essentially a hardcore CTON with fluff. However I was willing to play this if it was still semi-casual which it ended up not being.
Which I'm not really complaining about. After all you can't really complain if the only line in that whole game planning thread that you remember is 'emulate a gamespy experience.'
But that's just how it is and the best course of action is to quit from where I'm standing because you're not going to have fun and I'm not going to have fun. I tried to achieve power gaming parity because there's the only way I would have any semblence of fun and challenge and fair play but the sacrifices needed to keep it up are ridiculous. So to that end I tried to automate certain things. However, seeing as that is infeasible if you can just obtain a game-lock I can't really say I am inclined to continue.
Besides if it stayed on I would have started flooding the PB7 2061 port with replayed network data if LP was logged in at the start of turn. So for all our sakes, FIND SOMEONE ELSE.

Okay, can everyone please
STOP
This wonderful drunken brawl is, and will not lead anywhere.
I can personally see three ways out of this
1) You call the game.
A lot of people has no fun from playing it and/or harbors ill feeling towards other players. We keep having bust-ups, they keep getting more serious.
2) Both ASM and Parkin get replaced.
This is yet another controversy that you're involved in. You both can't seem to be able to play a hands-off relaxed game. At this moment you're too invested in it. So the best way to solve this mess is for both of you to bite the bullet and move on. Replacements could be possibly arranged, even if they would be spoiled. And no, I have no objective grounds to eject either of you.
3) You carry on, but with another Admin
If neither 1) or 2) happens it's my belief that similar bust-ups are bound to happen again and again. I'm not interested in performing a role of only sane person in an Asylum and don't really have enough free time to satisfactory perform at such consuming task.

I'm sorry then Mist.
No I'm fine, replace me since I instigate everything . You can have whatever semblence of fun this turns into. If I was in school and had time to play the game full time then I'd stay but I work a 9-5 and am a primary income holder so I can't game as much as I want to. If I could match LP's ridiculousness then I would stay but just replace me and go about your business and call it resolved. I asked for this like 5 times and no one took me seriously.
As for LP, like I said in an email:
Quote:Its ridiculous. I can't prove he bounced me on purpose and I doubt that happened but seriously its the only thing I can think of from my perspective. I bounced for 1-2 minutes.
So whatever, just find a replacement for me, my civ is perfectly capable of waging some level of war.
P.S. I'd also advise against #2 since that is so tempting as revenge. While my goal in this whole game was to screw over LP's civ as much as possible (with knights) I rather not get him ejected since I have no proof that he did anything wrong - I was to screw him over but in a game. For all anyone knows he actually did nothing and what people are saying are fine but I can't really comment on the ridiculous coincidence of 10 or so disconnections over a 1-2 minute period of time where only I could not connect. I could connect to the server, I even connected to Mack for a second before he dropped but I've never had a client disc like that across the 3 PB's and the only explanation from the PB design spec and its connection scheme is that there was a period of disconnects when we tried to connect to each other.

Just some points:
1.) We all knew the rules for the clock when we signed up. Yes it is probably possible to "game" it (I haven't thought about it and won't start now) but so what? We knew that before. You guys act like it is the first time that someone is using that as advantage when in fact EVERY single PB-game had this issue.
2.) This game is meant to be random-casual. Though that doesn't mean that someone can't try to win it. And if that someone has the time to log in no matter the point in time then live with it and see point 1. I mean for gods sake the rule was known.
3.) Man up. Quite honestly. I am a competetive guy but whats going on here is just stupid, not competetive. Thats whining in the worst form I've ever seen it.

Come on, how can this possibly compare with Krill whining about his start in <list of games Krill has been in>?
I feel I'm on a real roll here.

Good point. I retract my claim.
