Finished National Epic. Now we are really raking in the gpps.
Glad gpps don't show up in the demos! That said, Mackoti's killing everyone in GNP. Stupid GLH which we couldn't get. He's now whipped in half-price ziggurats almost everywhere, and several libraries, with all that Hanging Gardens pop to help out, so it's only gotten worse. I'd happily swap spots with him right now.
It's getting time to plan out our first golden age, I'll take a look over the next few turns.

Diplo: I asked for $4 from mackoti as the 10t of paid-for OB elapsed two turns ago. If he counteroffers with $3 we'll take it though. With all the >10pop cities, It's become hard to tell exactly how much we're each profiting.
Also asked for OB again with GoNasp, in two separate offers. One with a copper swap including, and one without. I'm worried they're going to do some boneheaded attack against us that will prevent us from catching Mackoti.

Sigh.
Mackoti declined our gold request and spent EP on us. Meanwhile GasparN declined OB again and his power keeps increasing. Lewwyn is roading a neutral tile towards King Ban. I'll be really surprised if no one declares war on us soon.
Maybe building farms over cottages is dumb in the current metagame because it makes everyone think you're doing better than you are? At least we'll have Feudalism in a few more turns.
Also, Mackoti got the Music artist. Good thing we didn't go for it. I hope the others realize sooner rather than later how viciously he's going to run away with this game.

Well on the bright side, we gained control of Homely Pits' clams. Of course next turn, Mack can build culture there.
Also Mack's probably got a ton of EPs coming online from his Ziggurats, so I guess it's only fair that we receive some of them.
I have to run.

We'd cancelled OB with Mackoti because he wasn't paying us anymore (remember he makes way more from them than us), and re-offered for backpayments plus 3gpt but he counteroffered with only 2gpt. No way. He's getting at least 15 and we're getting 7 (?) from the deal; 2gpt does not even that up.
We settle our jungle claim and lewwyn's settled one too, which restricts mackoti's options more than we were counting on. He therefore moved his settler 1E, and presumably will go 1E further next turn.
I started spear builds in miscellaneous places so we can whip them. I also offered OB to mackoti for 9g (backpayments which he has failed to pay) and 3gpt, and to GaNH alongside free silver for them.
At the end of the turn, we got Feudalism, Shwedagon Paya, and a Great Scientist.

Quick, you can settle 3N of the new city too!
And on the sixth day, god created Manchester.

Good point. Though at this point I have to suspect that every city we settle that isn't already surrounded by our own cities will just add one to the number of cities we eventually lose.

Or, thinking positively, it will be an extra military base from which to launch a devastating attack.
What's the city count for all 4 civs?

Last turn (85) I checked techs and Mackoti had gotten CS. He'd also gotten a prophet. So it was no surprise to see him start a golden age this turn.
We'll start a golden age soon too. I am thinking next turn looks good. My estimate is we'll be making ~300b/turn in the GA and need like 1600b (raw) to reach banking (Mackoti just got Machinery so it got a bit easier) so we could possibly even start it this turn and concentrate on commerce (we will have 5t to reach banking in order to swap to merc on the 6th). However I'd rather wait a turn and be able to concentrate on longbow production too. So probaly we'll only whip in 1-3 places this turn (vassalage xp will be available in the golden age) and prepare for it next turn. Swap will be to vassalage, pacifism, and buddhism.
Last turn I again offered OB to mack and NG after they declined, but both declined again. This time my offer to mack had him providing stone rather than 3gpt, as he had no gpt available.
NG's power is still rising.
In 3t (2 if we start a GA next turn) we will get either a merchant or engineer from BY. Merchant may be unable to do a trade mission and in that case could be used to bulb either banking, or (with code of laws) civil service. Engineer (more likely) would bulb engineering (with construction) or rush a wonder.
A few turns later we'll get another GP in AM, most likely a scientist. That one (if a scientist) either settles or bulbs education, depending on how soon we expect Education's prereqs to come in.
