I think there is a consensus anyway, but I agree with
1) continuing the game
2) giving Parkin a chance (though with a warning)
3) keeping the double-move rules the way they are, unless there is a strong consensus to the contrary
4) encouraging players to play as much as possible in one session

Look, you can have your own opinion. I even agree with you on several points. But do you really have to use this kind of language? Is it really crying to try and figure out a new rule-set to better fit the casual style this game was supposed to be in, given how intense a few of the players (not to mention this thread) have become? I happen to think that the rules should not be changed overly much if at all, but I think it is completely understandable for others to be concerned about the turn this game has been taking away from the random, casual game Plako proposed.
Play nice. Or be quiet. Stop painting things in black-and-white.

In the way? We're not sadists over here. Just leave us alone and we'll leave you alone. We've still got a lot of tech to go before panzers.

Be quite what? :neenernee
Only because I referred to Roman units as hoards rather than hordes earlier.
@Nakor - You'll notice I didn't move my scout into your lands. Despite the fact that you moved multiple units into my borders/towards my cities, I'll keep the scout out of your lands.
As far as the land between us goes, Egypt also has plans for one city between our borders. Fitting both in that area might be a...bit tricky. Thoughts?

F-bombs just fall out of my fingers the same way they fall out of my mouth occasionally. Sorry about that.
The rest stands though. We signed on to a backstabbing, clock manipulating, double moving game. I was probably the least aware of the rules of any of you, as I didn't even read them before I took over for Catwalk. Yet every time I'm in a game where the standard turn order isn't used, it always seems to de-volve rapidly. Last game I was in here (at RB) had some odd rules where you had to keep track of what time you moved individual units. And it ended up paused over disputes several times as well.
I thought the whole point of the lack of rules and the strict single point of communication was to limit all the other stuff, not the in-game play. Casual play to me doesn't mean not playing to win. It means not spending hours discussing alliances, trades, and all the other stuff. Log-in, crush someone, logout.

Uh-oh. Workboat traffic jam.
Yuri. I moved my boat out of the way at a corner (to the north). Keep coming north and you can get around mine.

Will do! Is there life in the north? If you continue south and then east, there's just me and a lot of sheep

Ha ha, fair enough. I'm going to have to edit that now, it's really bugging me.
Also, about your scout... :\

I just figured I'd check to make sure. Has ASM or Mist provided the password to Azza? He's going to need to be able to play the turn when he gets online.

I provided Mist, I thought it was already sent but I just sent it to Azza a few hours ago.
