Sunrise, we're still not interested in war with you, but you keep sending units at us and killing our sentries... We're not stirring up trouble here...
Anyways, we'll see what happens... how is the land to your east?

Sunrise you dont know what you wish for, you didnt read the point where we have 15 units in our teritory and most of the land its tundra?

'the huge potential land expansion', man that soud like communits propaganda, we bearly have any food resource and grasland its at premium in this part of the world, and commodore decided he want this too.

Why on eath Spacentruxu you didnt pick someone to rush at the beggining so you have double land area to expand?

And for you to see how realy the situation its a city with dry rice and desert gold and rest desrt near by(oh we have some of that too), was considered premium site(ours first city setled).

And Commodore keeping talking about 'Broken Pyramids', why didnt you build them?Did we stoped you? From what i seen untill now Spacent" has beter land than us but still wants this one, He will get nothing but at least he had 'fun'.

Lord Parkin Wrote:Last turn, Azz happened to log in first. This turn, I happened to. He had the same unit in danger on both turns. Law of averages... unless he expected to automatically go first every turn, this would happen by chance on 1/2 turns. And it did.

I actually missed an even better opportunity last turn because Azza happened to go first. And fair enough... that's what happens about half the time, as you'd expect. I repeat, there was NO clock gaming here - it just happened to tick over at a convenient time today. Am I suddenly expected not to play when the turn flips at a convenient time?

The point should be that when you have critical units in danger where you absolutely positively have to go first all the time to keep them, you're eventually going to lose them in a game that does not have explicit turn halves. Plan for that, and don't put units in positions where you absolutely have to go first on the next turn or they'll die.

First turn, the worker was under an Archer, the second, I moved it into open ground. Now, it may have been a coincidence, but you just happened to log in when you could take it undefended.

Also, the law of averages is a total fallacy, and stop razing my cities.

Welcome to Mongolia. If you can avoid Parkin's chariots, Parkin's spearmen, and the barbarian axemen, you'll be free to continue your journey. I suspect they shouldn't be a problem for you though. wink

Commodore Wrote:Plako, HAK, a modest proposal for you two. I know that you've been skirmishing, and from HAK's commentary above it looks like there's bad blood. However, each of you borders(ish) a very powerful empire that is swollen and engorged with at least double the normal land alotment. HAK, would you be willing to poke Parkin?

Plako, we're closer neighbors here. You know very well that Sevemack are the real leaders of the game...Justinian, with a lot of land and the 'mids powering a Representation economy that will blast the socks off of the rest of us. Lewwyn leaped to an early score lead as Oracle-builders always will, but the 'mids are more powerful, particularly to a Spi leader. I have no idea what Sunrise's deal is...maybe just Imp with good land? Someone had to be given a nice start, 'twasn't us.

We're not very clear on the full extent of Germany, but it's obviously large, with probably a very extensive southern coast area...and you are Dutch. We propose a dogpile upon Seven/Mack with a 50/50 split, exception the 'mids which we need ever have a hope making such lofty tech goals as, I dunno, Currency. Given we know they moved from their original clam capital site there is a fair chance they settled inland with their capital anyway. You're a skilled general and an honorable player with a reputation of keeping your deals...if you're interested, show your chariot facing first NE, then SW, otherwise, NW then SE.

I don't think non-public messages are appropriate in this game. All diplo should go through this thread.

I agree there are certain nations that could use some slowing down. Sunrise seems to be #1 to me and LP and MackSeven are definately very high there too.

I'm very intrested in hearing your ideas concerning my role in the war. What about your prospects. Do you think you can take city or cities? Assuming you can or things stagnate what happens then? At minimum I could promise not to interfere and send units against you.

HitAnyKey Wrote:So plako, I've decided to leave that city of yours alone. As long as you stay on your side of the mountains (aside from working tiles within that city's borders) & river, I think we should be able to get along just fine for quite some time. Feel free to help CommoXenu cause some pain to mackseven if you so desire. I've got other plans in mind at this point than continued harassment of you.

I'm glad to hear. I would also like to see more peaceful times between us since clearly we're not even close to the current top nations. Assuming LP is on your other side, little pressure there would be a good idea. I think we need to agree upon our border more detailed to make this work. I would like to plant a city claiming the fish that would put the city 1 tile west from the river (southernmost point in the neighborhood). Would this be alright?

Please stop this reverse beauty contest. First everyone has the most terrible land and now both parties of the war are losing. What is going on?

lollollol

That's the story of this game so far. The guy who's ahead in score says score is meaningless; the guys who built wonders say they just built them for the pretty graphics and they won't be any help in winning the game; the guys who are doing well in the graphs are doing it despite their dreadful land.

But don't try to attack any of these people, because they all have huge armies on all of their borders...
