It was supposed to be a 1-turn Hanging Gardens.
I'm sure you already heard about those...

Assuming LP is on your other side, little pressure there would be a good idea. I think we need to agree upon our border more detailed to make this work. I would like to plant a city claiming the fish that would put the city 1 tile west from the river (southernmost point in the neighborhood). Would this be alright?
Somehow missed this amongst all the other stuff. I'm sorry to say the area down there does not work for me to allow you in. You already stole my spot by the valley. I've decided to let you have it without any additional harassment. You'll even be able to chop through those jungles to get to the Gems I was originally planning on blocking you from. However, I've had my sights on that spot already as well since it'll be my only source of fish. You obviously already have tons based on your massively high food production. So hopefully you'll let this one go.
There just isn't much land available between us, and most of it is covered in jungle. You're better off heading north and east at this point.

Nope, no sims for me. That would take waaaaay too much time. I'm shooting from the hip, who has time to aim?

Ditto. I've tried it twice now. One time was an absolute failure of trying to figure out WorldBuilder. The other was only just barely worth the effort. I don't know why people can't just "play".

Plako, if you decide to settle north toward us we should probably discuss what makes a good, non threatening, non hostile border between us. While we've cheered at the awesome work your medics have done so far, we don't really want to see it up close
It looks like the halfway point between your capital and ours is about where the grass stops (bordered by the desert tiles to the NE and plains to the W, NW, and N). That area is about 7 or 8 tiles north of your capital. All that brown land to the north of it would serve as a nice buffer area between us since I'm sure no one would want to rush settlements into a big patch of plains (without resources or water? I don't have a recent screen shot of it).
Also, even though the mountain chain blocks your access to the south of old Azzastan, if your intrepid Dutch sailors built boats I don't see that being a terrible obstacle to expansion. But as Commodore said earlier, we don't have maps over there because someone killed my exploring warrior.

Maybe, but we have incredible axes!

I'm reluctant to even reply anymore, since we all want to win and hence try to paint things in a favorable light for ourselves. Hence "sunrise is scary due to score/tech" vs "civ X is scary due to weak/dead neighbors" is never going to get resolved.
However I feel like third parties may take my silence plus your persistence as some sort of definitive statement. So let me say this for the record. Maybe I'll just quote myself here if we want to keep up this endless dance...
I am in a good position in this game. I don't deny I'm, all things considered, in a top-5 spot. That said only looking at score/tech is a laughable measure of expected future performance. Also important are things like civ/leader, long-term growth options/neighbors, and perhaps most of all player skill. Some players, Parkin included, are vastly better than me at this game. If those same players should find themselves in position to leverage weak neighbors or economic gambits like early Rep+Philo they should...not be taken lightly.
Also for all the "OMG GOLD TILES" in this thread, kudos for the multiple civs higher than me in GNP who are avoiding scrutiny here. And, kudos to the civ who I know has top food and suspect has top production as well, while also escaping notice.

Buddy, you have the world's most interesting definition of "sending units at us." I've not had one combat this game more than 1 tile outside my culture

I'm curious who. Certainly it's no one in our corner of the world.
