Durp. Well, I was covered except for the little thing where I forgot that Mackseven could have a 2-move spear.
Meh, ah well. Grim Monolith has a whipped spear, so its decidedly not getting hit until we hit Mind's Desire first.

Gzomgwtf Commodore why didn't you sit and wait on the timer and double move them into oblivion it would have been so easy we don't need civstats for that rabble, rabble, rabble... *stops, breathes.* Seriously, we'll get 'em, and their pretty stone, too.

Well that was stupid on my part. I just blythely assume that since Mack ended turn, we were cool, so I moved the workers to road towards Azzastan and didn't toss a couple spears there to cover 'em. You should probably fire me.

Nah, I've thrown up a good cover story in the diplo thread, no one will know it was your mistake
But yeah, ending turn or no, I assume that we're going to be double moved by MackSeven because at least one of them always has time to be online, it seems. But I hadn't considered what happens after someone ends turn either. I think it hasn't recently come up in RB pitboss games because in the games played lately there have been either a war time turn split (4) or a game enforced team sequential turn order (6), both of which make incidents like this impossible. I can't remember what you guys are doing in PB5 and I haven't read 1, 2, or 3 (just Sulla's writeup of 2), so I have no idea if this is something I/you should have known about. Anyway, we do now! I think it's just safest to always we can be attacked at any time, from anywhere. My paranoia detector lets me get the most sleep that way.

Oh, and I guess no one believes we're #1 in GNP because no one even took the time to call me a liar.

As for PB5, we're using the 'let the other guy move in between unless your work/sleep schedule conflicts' and a sort of suggested 8hr minimum window for guidance... but that rule is completely untested, so we'll see how it works out.

Until proven otherwise, no battle plan (or game rule) survives contact with the enemy.
Lawyers, man your battle stations!

@Commodore, I think I'm going to institute a policy of screwing with Mackoti and Seven just because I can. They're still power gaming and logging in after every time one of us does. It looks like they tend to wait until we log out and then they log in within a few minutes, according to my reading of civstats. My guess is that their paranoia requires them to figure out what we've done and take any and all immediate countermeasures. To screw with them, if you happen to be around your civ computer at random times of the day and don't mind wasting a minute or two to log in, leave it logged in for a few minutes, and then log out, we can probably each waste several brain cycles for whoever on their team is compulsively checking the game. This may be petty and it's certainly anti-social behavior on my part, but I just want to screw with them since they're not abiding the casual spirit of this game. Since they're not playing by the same rules as we are they'll inevitably receive advantage from it (and I'm normally all for rewarding people for "effort in = effort out", but not when we agreed ahead of time that this game was supposed to be different). So if they're going to have their advantage, I want to have my sport with them, at their expense. If they want to call me an asshole when this is all over, they probably should. But I'm going to do it anyway.
Logging in (and staying logged in for a bit) in 3...2...1....
Edit: another idea just came, can someone post a list of the civ community's acknowledged best players (excluding any who are playing in this game). I can change my login name to match theirs, to induce at first a bit of confusion and then probably consternation. Heartburn FTW!

Please login under the name "WarlordDR"... That would bring joy to my soul. Or Exploit. Those would be more funny than scary but still.

Random stuff from my T87 login:
Here's the event log from recent turns. Someone built the Great Lighthouse? What's the point? In Always War can the boost from more internal trade routes be worth spending the hammers? Maybe if you're IND, otherwise...I'd have to get another opinion on that one. Maybe if you got an isolated start but I don't think that happened to anyone here. Someone has plans to build domestic ICTRs soon perhaps?
Here is the power graph from the current turn. I guess I don't feel as bad about the attack and not capturing the city on the first try, since Commodore subsequently scooped it up. Looks like we wasted more of their hammers than ours, that's not terrible considering they were defending. I owe one to the RNG, that seems obvious. We're going to get paid back for this early success, and it will probably bite us hard when it happens.
Demographics, we're not quite back to #1 in power. Whoever is there now probably hasn't thrown away half an army yet, though. I'd be curious to know who it is. My money is on Parkin since he's our western neighbor. Why would someone with a huge army NOT be located on our border?
