Oops, I'm in right now...not really sure what to do with some of these units and I've already goofed on moving one of the spears. Small detail about a forest on a hill eating up even woody II's movement in one go.

Edit: well here goes. Let's see how my civ memory holds up in the face of being less able to make coherent decisions.

In the meantime Seven posted a lame excuse about not realizing they had the turn and ended turn, so we can't double move even if we wanted to (hint: i don't want to, i really don't want to move anything at this point).

I didn't see the value in pressing the attack this turn. Held 1 movers in the front city, moved up chariots. This is probably bad but I don't think the attack would succeed with present forces anyway, barring crazy RNG love.

And MackSeven are logged back in, ready to double move us. I'm tempted to break the rules if it benefits us because they obviously don't give a shit about the spirit of this game. Whatever. I'll move the stack forward. We have 3 archers ready to step into the city when I end turn. It's an auto move. Or I'm drunk and don't give a shit. That's more accurate anyway. So moving forward with it looks like quite a few units. Well not one of the spears, because they have that chariot in Mind's desire, and I'm sure their 8 seconds tick off faster than mine and they already have the chariot queued up to go in just in case i vacate the city. Mmmm...maybe I shouldn't do that.

Live edit: Seven is a brat. Fuck him.

Another edit. Changed my mind, not going to press the attack. We dont' have enough here to take that city with walls and the uberbrat super spear. But the insult to Seven still stands. He's a brat.

hill woods shouldn't stop a woody II unit. Something else happened there.

Like an idiot teammate moving them once already? Kinda. I went in, although unless the sims say yea next turn we can move them back out without any issue too. Sadly, I doubt the cautious duo of Mack and Seven will poke the stack, alack.

The empire as a whole is...kinda angry, actually. 2 or 3 whip unhappy is common, fortunately we're close to bringing the silver online. There is an angry-looking barbarian heading our way, but two CG2 or shock archers should have the situation well in hand.

Oh yeah! I settled us a new city. Meet Mohegan Sun, claiming wheat and peaks. The peaks mean that this will be a prime observatory site later on, once we absorb the uppity German city-state.

Maybe they'll flinch at the proximity of our army but I doubt it. Walls and cultural defense, they may as well hold their ground and make this really expensive for us.

Space, I know you're really frustrated with Seven and the situation with the turns, double-moves, etc, but you really should tone it down some. People enjoy your turn reports, me included, but lately you're antics are a bit off-putting. You seem to be taking this conflict a little too personally. Holding the turn timer, for example, just to irritate Seven also penalizes the other players for something they are entirely uninvolved with. I suggest leaving the turn-timer shenanigans for the LPs of the world. It doesn't suit you. Also, the back and forth flame war with Seven in the diplo thread just isn't coming off the way you probably intend it, so it is time to stop.

Please take this as I mean it, which is kindly and with concern. You don't seem yourself these past few days. Others here may not know you, but because I do, I feel obligated to try to help. I know you're a good guy in RL, but your behavior here is a bit boorish at best and is not representing you well. You're much better than that.

I was going to try to write something similar to BGN (except the part where I know you smile ) but he got the same message very well! So, for what it's worth, that's also my opinion.

We are terrifyingly close to being able to take Mind's Desire. If the spearman event really did spawn near Seven's core, then at least a few forces will be tied down out east for a few more turns. With a dodge by the woodies to cut off the road, the western core is apparently on its own (never discounting another route south). I mailed you a quick and dirty sim, Xenu, where I was able to get a win about two times out of five after several turns of battle. A key backstop is to sink a hammer into a chariot in Blackfeet this next turn, allowing a surprise whip.

I'm not sure which is best after sending in the first chariot pair to knock down the spear, either a couple CR2 dogs to royally mess up the CG2 archers, then in go the chariots, or vice versa using chariots first. It's worth simming a bit more. In either case, attacking now makes more sense than waiting.

What is the composition of the attacking/defending forces?
