RBP7 [SPOILERS] - The Chronicles of Nyania

We're actually #1 in production this turn. How the heck did that happen? lol Ah well, I'm sure it'll be temporary.

Not looking too bad in the other demos either. Still a long way to go, but our prospects are starting to look not quite so bleak as before.

Also... com'on smile you are in great position. Sure you are not first, but the untapped potential is great.

Actually I switched a couple of tiles temporarily this turn which gave an extra 7 hammers per turn. wink Plus our breakeven research rate is considerably lower than the value displayed.

Still, we're not in too bad a position, and I'm looking forward to seeing what we can make of it in the future. It's just that relative to folks who started with good land and had ~100 turns to develop it in (apparent) peace, things are a lot more mediocre by comparison. Oh well, more of a challenge for us in the future. smile

I think we've handled the challenges well to this point. Given our abysmal starting position, we are becoming a super-power.

Minor skirmish with Azza this turn. Unfortunately he got exceptionally lucky and did far more damage to our Spear on the Horse than he should have with his first Chariot, enabling him to take out our Spear in a 1:1 loss. Ugh. Oh well, we have four more of those down there.

Not really intending on accomplishing much of significance here, unless things seem open for the taking. Might pillage the Horses and perhaps a few other tiles. Will perhaps have a quick snoop to see if defences are particularly light in either the capital or Colonization. Can fork those two cities on the tile 1SW of the Spear stack. If things start getting too heavy we'll high-tail it out of there, though right now I'm not too concerned.

A Chariot of HAK's appeared 2 tiles SE of I'm On A Boat! Naturally, I killed it with one of our Spears. Can't have it pillaging or spying around that area. Hopefully he'll take the hint and leave us alone for the time being. +2 XP and a new promotion for the Spear, and no damage taken as well. Nice.

Whipped a Galley in that city too, by the way. Might be able to intercept some Work Boats... there are quite a few swooping around the area at the moment.

I fricking love Aybabtu. smile 21 base hammers at size 6, with 17 base hammers every 5th turn on the current rotation. Better off switching on and off the plains-hill for 8/10 turns (32 hammers every 10 turns) rather than whipping away a citizen (30 hammers every 10 turns). Of course, still better to whip in an emergency, but we're hardly in that situation.

Also, better to stay at size 6 since we'll be able to start on the Heroic Epic shortly. And with 21 hammers/turn we can build it from scratch in 4 turns. After that we'll be producing 1 turn Spears and Axes every turn and still have overflow. Yep, Aybabtu sure is awesome. wink

Oh, and I got a pleasant surprise that we do get the Industrious bonus for building the Palace. Don't usually consider it in most games, so never noticed that before. Makes sense though, I guess.

A decision to make: Should we found city #8 1S or 1SE of the Pigs? If it's 1SE it can share the flood plains with Pwnage; if it's 1S it can share both the Gold tiles with City #7, though it gets an extra dead tile and loses a forest. I think being able to share two Gold resources would be a pretty big upside though. Then again, sharing flood plain cottages is pretty nice too, and City #7 will be able to take care of the two Golds by itself if necessary.

Down on the front with Azza, we pillaged his Horses. We've also spotted a Keshik of his - so hopefully that was his only source. Guess we'll see soon enough.

LP, creeping up the leader board... Congrats on #1 production.

Are you going to share your good news with all your fans and friends in the diplo thread?

If Pwnage is going to be our capital, we want that city to work on as many floodplain-cottages as it can, due to the +50% bureaucracy bonus. That's another thing to consider.
