Hey novice, I can see how what I wrote can be taken badly and I'm sorry I didn't think it through before posting. I simply meant to give another point to darrell's mock-assertion that pbems are models of good sportsmanship and pitbosses get all the arguments. I don't hold anything against you or SevenSpirits and anything that was said against me is water under the bridge in my eyes. If anything I'm still a little disappointed at how I reacted to the situation and my part in having things spiral out of control.

I'm happy to bring the discussion back up in the pbem23 if there are still things you want to hash out. But I didn't intend to open any old wounds and for that I apologize.

Elkad, I haven't met you but I'd take Azza at his word considering Commodore and I are LP's eastern neighbor and we haven't had a lot of time to do business with him so far. From what I can tell from the scuttlebutt around this diplomacy thread, he makes war almost as often as we do. He's probably doing a better job though, I'd have to compare notes with him and with MackSeven when this whole thing is over with to know. Oh, and ours is a war of, uh...retribution, FOR AZZA!!!! So surely the cause is just and someone should support us!

Plako, have you had any further thoughts about joining our campaign to oppress the Hunter-Gatherers? We haven't taken all of their cities yet as they refuse to cooperate in that regard. They insist on killing just as many of our soldiers as they can which is annoying to say the least. If you and HAK have settled any issues between you, we'd certainly appreciate help in pushing the Hunter-Gatherers back to the terrible starting location from which they say they originated. We have made progress so you can see there is some hope in the success of our mission. Ignoring the massive body count, I believe the score stands at Casinos 2 - Hunter Gatherers 0 in city capture count. With that said, I expect they'll even the score eventually but hey, we're trying here.

Not really. With you capturing cities, the frontline is even further away than before. If you think it would make sense for me to join, I would really need to see what is going on. Would you let my Chariot to go through to check things out?

On the other hand maybe collecting your winnings and running would be better way to proceed?
